History of Magic: Lesson Three (All Years) Empty

The end of the year was approaching, and Kate was more than ready for it. She was planning to go on a nice holiday in the Highlands of Scotland as she hasn't been there since she was a teenager herself. She smiled at the thought of getting away for a few weeks as she wrote Gringotts on the board, giving away the days lesson. She opened the windows in hopes of catching a breeze.

She sat down behind her desk and pulled her hair back with a rubber band. She couldn't wait to see some old friends in Inverness or some of the old stone circles. Kate straightened her notes and tucked a few stray hairs behind her ears. Picking up her wand, she tidied up some of the clutter on her desk. Everything back in order, she relaxed slightly and put her wand on the desk should she feel like making the block of wood on her desk into anything that might be hard to explain.

History of magic wasn't really one of Adeline favorite subjects out there but it was most of time at least interesting and you get to know always something new. So that's why she had decided to go there today. One of the last lessons for this school year.

She soon walked into the classroom and sighed. She didn't like to be first one in the classroom really expect professor. "Hello," she greeted the professor and took a seat behind the one of middle desks. She now waited everyone else to show up.

She decided that she will take boom out from her bag what she did place next to desks when book is really needed for something. She also wondered what they will learn here today. She didn't really have any ideas what they could learn. She wished that it would be something interesting for sure, so she could listen it.

School seemed to zoom past Christopher as quickly as he blinked - something that was not overly good in his eyes. The freedom of school would soon be lost, and instead the Ravenclaw would be faced by copious amounts of responsibility. This was, of course, not something Christopher wanted very much, because responsibility was boring.

That wasn't to say Christopher was irresponsible, because he knew that all actions had consequences. But, this did mean that he had to tread more carefully than he already did. Or, rather, tried to.

Slipping in to the History of Magic classroom, Christopher murmured an acknowledgement in the Professor's direction before moving to a seat towards the back of the room. History of Magic wasn't so bad, but it was not likely to be one of the Ravenclaw's most favoured lessons. And, likely, very little was going to change that, either.

History of Magic was always an interesting subject for Finley, because he was years behind most of his peers with the things that had gone on. He'd read about them, of course, but Finley didn't know things off by heart like many others did. Or, he couldn't relate so easily to things his peers from magical backgrounds could. It didn't bother Finley anymore, instead he embraced it, because, quite honestly, only knowing now made it so much easier to decide his own opinion on things.

So, slipping in to the Care of Magical Creatures class, Finley gave the professor a warm smile and took up a seat at the front of the room, looking only forwards. Finley's friends weren't always so eager to come to the Magical History class, because they 'knew' the stuff already, so he didn't expect to see anyone he knew here.

Especially seeing as Finley was always early to class.

Aiko ran her fingers through her hair that morning as she stared at the letter on her desk. She bit her lip, she had a shoot apparently in France as soon as she got out of school, and she was excited-yes-because it was a big deal for her and her career. She'd never worked with this photographer before, but through the thread of emails that her father exchanged with him showed he had a lot of admiration for her work. She liked the flattery and the knowledge he had of her occupation, but also how he treated her like an adult even though her father was speaking for her and she wasn't legally one. However she couldn't help but feel nervous because she didn't want to mess it up and also she didn't want to ruin whatever other work relationships she had.

She gave a sigh, straightened up her outfit and slid her letters back into the special box she had for her letters. She tightened her robe and slid her book bag onto her shoulder before sailing through the hallways. She waved at all the kind people to wave to her heading to their class.

"Morning Professor Juvenca," Aiko greeted her as she glanced at the board. After taking her seat in the second row, she opened her textbook and started at the chapter describing Gringotts.

Cara crumpled up the letter that arrived for her as she was walking to her History of Magic class and tossed it into the trash. It was from some worthless suitor; the truth was she knew that if a suitor was worth her time, Louis or one of his underlings would have sent the owl themselves. Directly trying to contact her was underhand and disrespectful, not to mention... She panicked just the slightest as she imagined what would happen to her Nir-to her-when the time came for her to pick a suitor to marry. Were she from a bloodline that wasn't quite royalty, but just high in status, she probably wouldn't be receiving options as early as two years before. Her brain worked itself as it thought about how short of a time two years was: in two years she'd pick a suitor to marry once she graduated. Granted she could still pursue any career she wanted whilst married, and really the marriage was just a paper thing she knew the reality of what would happen.

She would be choosing him over, well, Nirek.

And it didn't feel right, but she had a duty. And she wasn't the type to disappoint. Not when her parents had done so much to disgrace their lineage: she didn't begrudge them in anyway. She bemoaned the lost possibilities of not having a mother to comfort her listless soul. As she seated herself in History of Magic, taking her sweet time to turn to the page marked Gringotts, she thought some more about her impending future. Truth be told, keeping political ties and a respectable persona as a pureblood woman through connections and images she wouldn't have much time for an occupation. Then again, Lady Clement seemed to handle both well. She sighed and tried to focus on the passage at hand.

"You're so funny," generously giggled Sammy, a sweet Hufflepuff whom he'd been partnered with for a project the other day. He didn't deny she was adorable, and with Naomi's absence from his mind, he couldn't find the energy to stay in one place. Though, he'd always be fond of her. He wondered how Corie was doing these days.

"Thanks," Phil said grinning, "it was good to talk to you and all, but I've got to head to class." He glanced around seeing students filtering into class. "You should too, sorry if I kept you around a bit longer than I intended." They were on the third floor having just finished Transfiguration.

"No biggie," she said, "I'm on the next floor. I'll be seeing you then," she gave another wave and shy smile before turning towards some of her Housemates. Phil whistled a little tune as he clambered down the stairs, high-fiving some of his roommates and greeting any other people he knew joyfully. He was an extrovert to the max, and he ran a hand through his hair as he arrived at History of Magic. He pulled a face, he hated reading that was more Ellie and Caelan's deal. Instead he preferred Defense Against the Dark Arts or - or something like that. Picture books were infinitely better than those big text bland ones that Caelan loved.

"Hey Professor Juvenca," he greeted with a nod, before settling for a seat behind a burly student, hoping to catch a little shut-eye instead of whatever Gringotts was. He knew it was a bank of some sort, but he'd have Cay tell him about it later.
