 Muggle Transportation: Airplanes, Bicycles

PostSubject: Muggle Transportation: Airplanes, Bicycles   Mon Aug 29, 2016 8:02 pm

The classroom would already be filled with eager students as Annabeth rushed in, her long black dress flowing on her sides.

When she reached the front of the class, she trickled her index finger on the loads of books sitting on her desk to check for dust. Then, bringing the finger in front of her, Annabeth's face scrunched up in disgust. She shook her head and with her wand, waved it at the textbooks. As they flew in front of each student, she spoke in a loud voice that resonated in the room: "As young witches and wizards, you will need to learn how to survive in today's society without magic..." She started to pace in front of the class, her hands clasped together, "... Therefore, you need to learn all about the Muggle world..." Annabeth stopped abruptly and turned to face the students, her icy blue eyes narrowing, "...Today, we will be learning all about Airplanes and Bicycles which are forms of Muggle Transportation." Annabeth walked towards her desk and flipped open the last textbook to an exact page, "Firstly, does anyone know what an airplane is?" She looked around, waiting for a student to pop their hand up.

Finley was so excited for the new term to begin, he was a very stereotypical Ravenclaw in that manner. Classes, however, were also going to be something of a safe haven this year - it would mean time away from the Head's common room. Now, it was not because he disliked Lux that he wanted to get away, on the contrary, Finley didn't feel ill towards his fellow student, however, Lux definitely didn't like him, and Finley was clever enough to know to keep his distance.

Which was why he was the first down to the class, eagerly sat in the front row with his notebook and pen at the ready. Now, Finley was quite knowledgeable about Muggles - he was, of course, from a Muggle family - so he didn't find Muggle Studies hard - quite the contrary - he found it amazingly enjoyable to learn about Muggles from a Wizard's perspective. Not to mention that, for him, this class was very easy marks.

The professor had not been there on arrival, and Finley did not mind this. She came only a few moments after others arrived, and she dove straight in to the work they would be doing.

Her question made Finley pause, waiting for someone else to answer, but after a short moment, it didn't seem this was going to happen. So, the Head Boy raised his hand, and waited to be called upon before answering.

"An a-airplane, or aeroplane as s-some people call it, is a Muggle m-method of transportation. An airplane f-flies through the air at... about f-five hundred miles an hour... I t-think. Most of them can take a fair few p-passengers, too!" Finley answered, hoping this would be enough to start with.

Muggle Studies was something what Adeline have taken at times but she knew most of staff what they learn here. She was familiar with muggle things for sure. So she assumed it would be easy to pass this lesson for sure. So she didn't really have to worry she didn't know anything.

She walked into the classroom and soon after that she heard how professor did start with the lesson. Too be honest when she asked what was airplane. She knew the answer but boy who was in same year as her but if she was right in ravenclaw house. They haven't talked much for sure. Anyways she wasn't sure what else she should add there so she kept quiet for now.

She knew what was bicycle too, well she has seen one at least but she have never used one herself. She just waited, maybe she can answer some questions too later on.

Being muggleborn meant you did grow up in the muggle world your whole life so when she heard there was muggle studies class this year then she decided to check it out at least for one class. She mostly would know most of things what there would be let know.

She walked in to the classroom just few minutes before professor began to speak. She listened her there and realized that today they will speak about airplanes and bicycles. Well girl had never really flied with airplane for sure. She of course knows what it is but not much about it for sure. She knows it can fly in the air and muggles used it to go from one long distance to other. But she have used bicycle for sure few times. So she knows how to ride it.

She is more likely someone who listens what others say than speaks up her mind. She knows she needs to be more out spoken for sure. But right now she tried to be quiet for sure. She didn't want to draw much attention to herself. She also wasn't sure what else she should add there to boy from her own house. She have seen her around in common room she is sure of that.

Elenore had come back to Hogwarts with little and less enthusiasm, truth be told. She missed France greatly when the school term came in to being, but no amount of discussion with her Papa had swayed her from the inevitability of returning to the British school.

Jacques wanted to be at Hogwarts, so all of the Clement children had to suffer it.

Caramarienne, however, didn't seem anywhere near as put out by this as Elenore, which infuriated her more. But Elenore was a Clement, and thus she remained calm, deciding not to lower herself to the ideals of others. She would not be seen to be anything less than perfect.

Which was precisely why the smile was upon her lips as she entered the Muggle Studies classroom. The Clement witch was not at all interested in the subject, and as the professor began, Elenore did not bother to look up. This was a class that was a mere necessity to prove that, as a Clement, she would understand all of her people back in France.
