Simon made his way down to DADA hoping that it would end up being a good final lesson, since he wanted to not seem such like a slacker which his reputation was easily becoming. Leading Simon to soon make his way down as he hoped it would all go over well and he had no problem with the class, but hoped it would go over well. Simon then soon was on the floor which the class had been one leaving him to make his way a bit further and he soon let out a sigh.

Before he knew it Simon had been in the classroom, his sister had seemingly already been in attendance and he wanted to make sure he was not seen by her. When it came it to his older siblings Simon was not a particular fan, and tried his best to remain invisible. Since he found more of a love for being on his own than around his siblings. Due to constantly being on his own.

Simon then made sure he took a seat as he waited to be instructed.

Emily began walking to Defence Against the Dark Arts, with some sort of smile, since it seemed in today's society being safe was honestly the up most urgency. Since she recalled hearing about some attacks, and she knew for damn sure she wanted to be safe. And she knew many often never cared but when it came to Emily she was one to make sure she was safe. And the Hufflepuff did that by entering the classroom and looking around as she looked at Professor Newbury with some thought. As she tried to find a seat, occasionally saying " So sorry. " as she found a seat and took it with a smile.

Leading the Hufflepuff to soon look and let out a thought, as she wondered what in the world to do. Emily wanted to know what they were learning and if anyone actually cared. Since the mind of teenagers was clearly much more different then the mind of adults since it seemed teens were always so reckless. And she knew in her mind she sounded like a preacher. Since in most cases she often found herself more mature than that of others students in her year.

Then soon she thought, " Will you stop sounding so preacher like? ", her mind was different. As she soon looked and waited to learn what the lesson would end up being about.

Ryder had made his way to Defence Against the Dark Arts, remembering that his final lesson in his first year lead to him getting himself in trouble which two years later still did not change. Since Ryder was well aware of the fact that he was a huge troublemaker leading him to look with a mischievous grin. As he was getting closer to the class and he soon wondered what they would learn about which was something he rarely done since school was not of his forte nor did he inspire it to be.

Since he had his own thoughts on most things that happened, as he took a seat when he entered. Looking at the board smiling since the idea of werewolves seemed pretty cool. But he looked at the professor as he soon looked since he seemed different. Then again I guess being a professor seemed to a stressful occupation even if he had no teaching aspects.

Nor did he ever desire too since he was his own person, and he knew when it came to something he liked. It was honestly only Quidditch since with that he could actually cause some sort of extreme mischief. Not caring on what could truly happen and he soon looked and he sat down and waited to be instructed.

As the class filled up, Jake pressed a smile on to his lips for the students' sake. They had made the effort to be here, and now he was going to repay them for that much. Waiting until the last of the students had settled down, Jake got up from his seat, and clapped his hands together twice to get everyone's attention on him.

"Good morning, everyone. Thank you for coming this morning. Today, we're going to be looking in to Werewolves." Jake explained, giving a pause for a moment before continuing on. "Now, as you will all be aware, the Wizarding world is not the safest of places at the moment. The Ministry has issued warnings to everyone about not being alone when out in public whenever possible, and to toughen up security too.

"Many of you might also have heard that Werewolves are being openly named for being dangerous." Jake put emphasis on the final word, hoping to make an impact. "However, I'm going to tell you right now, that this is a highly subjective thought. Not all werewolves are bad. But, that does not mean you shouldn't be aware of the dangers they can pose.

"Now, for those who may not be fully aware, please can someone give me a detailed description of what a werewolf is?" Jake asked, looking around the classroom for someone who was brave enough to give this question a go.

Violet found herself (again) late. And again, she didn't care much. She sauntered into the classroom, finding the seat closest to the door and dropping her bag to the floor and leaning back in her chair. She had come in in the middle of Professor Newbury talking about the subject of the day- werewolves. She had a textbook, so she didn't see the reason of taking out stationary to write notes. She could read over it later on, and perhaps just spend the class listening- or zoning out- whatever was more interesting.

She was rather disappointed that it was a theory class, but she figured it was due to pure exhaustion. The teacher looked absolutely wrecked- no doubt a due to a heavy workload that stemmed from recent events. That exhaustion was likely to increase if the perpetrators had any wits about them. Strike while the iron is hot- while people are still scared. Build momentum. At least, that would be Violet's way to do things.

Professor Newbury posed the question asking what a werewolf was. She decided against answering however- she'd let others do the talking.

Late again- Lucy was disappointed in herself. But she couldn't dwell on it. She just needed to get on with it and focus. She sprinted down the hall, stopping just outside the classroom to catch her breath before she walked in, slowly and quietly and finding a free seat, just catching the last of what Professor Newbury was saying.

So the lesson would be about werewolves. That was good- a theory class was easier than practical classes. She tended to be a more theoretical person- not one for spell casting and blocking. She was decent at defensive spells, but it certainly wasn't her forte and not her favourite activity. No one seemed to be answering the question posed by Professor Newbury, so she decided to answer.

"Someone that transforms into a wolf-like creature during the full moon," she said "Transformations care very painful and they have no control over transforming nor their actions while in that form. That's why they take wolfsbane- it doesn't stop transformation, but helps them keep in control," she added.

It was rare for Carlotta to be this late- she had gotten caught up sitting by the lake during lunch. It was just so peaceful and sunny and a truly gorgeous day that she didn't want to waste inside. Again- she needed a watch. There weren't any clocks in nature, except for the sun- and she wasn't yet an expert on using the sun to tell the time. It was only upon noticing that she was the only one left outside that she realised that class had probably begun and that she was indeed late again that day.

She made her way to class and quickly and quietly slipped in, finding a free seat towards the back, so as not to interrupt the girl explaining werewolves. She tried to keep quiet as she rummaged through her bag for a notebook and quill and ink, hurrying to ready herself so she could scrawl down notes on the topic.

Jake waited patiently for an answer to come, and as Lucy spoke up, his attention focused on the witch. He had to remember at times not to favour some of the students based on their families, but Jake was human, and he wanted his best friend's sister to do well. Nodding at the answer - until the part about Wolfsbane - Jake smiled warmly at the Slytherin witch.

"Mostly correct, Lucy, take five points for Slytherin." Jake replied to her answer. "However, whilst many werewolves take Wolfsbane potions for the reasons Lucy outlined, not all do. There may be many reasons for this, of course. The potion is not easy to brew, and many werewolves dislike their condition to be publicly known. Some may not be able to afford the potion, and others may like the freedom of losing themselves once every month to the condition."

Jake allowed a pause for the information to sink in, before continuing on.

"If you come across a werewolf, I would advise each and every one of you to not try to combat the beast, but to get yourself out of harms way. Werewolves are savage beasts, who will not think twice about hurting anyone. Even those they love." Jake explained, looking down at his notes. "Now, if you turn to page 394, you will see more information on werewolves. What I would like you to do is to make notes on the creature. I appreciate this isn't the most exciting lesson, but the Ministry and the Headmaster would like you to know this." Jake explained, waving them on to do the work.
