There was a lot going on in the world that didn't make life so easy being a Clement. Her father was busy trying to track the Nightshade power, even if he tried to keep it hush from the family, it was obvious that the Ministries of many countries were working to eliminate the threat building against them.

Her mother's circle of friends were growing smaller with the tightening of security. Worry that being caught together would lead to danger, or connections people didn't want. Jacques' marriage proposals had grown in number with people wanting to align themselves with a powerful force, but Jacques was as unmoved by the fuss as ever.

Elenore, however, was being proactive.

Their name could not, and would not always save them. in the Clement histories, it showed that a name could not be the only thing you worked with when the going got tough. This was why Elenore had headed to the Dueling classroom. Ladies, she'd been taught, had no reason to know how to fight. But, that was where people were wrong. If she couldn't defend herself, she was a liability, and Elenore would never, ever, allow herself to be weak.

Hair tied up in a messy bun, Elenore was working herself to the limits as she practised her defensive magic. Dummies moved on her position but she repelled each of them expertly, but with finesse. Men could fight, and they would fight brutally, but Elenore looked like she was dancing as she fought. Graceful, swift, and to the point, but it flowed.

She'd been training for half an hour by this point, and her magical core was waning. "Finite Incantatum." She said with an air of finality, before sitting down and getting her breath back. Even for a physically fit person, magic was a tiring feat.
