Astronomy: Lesson Three (All Years) Empty

Eros walked inside his classroom, stressed and angry. His mood was bad and he just didn't know what he had to do to fix it. A new woman every week just to satisfy his needs, yet it still wasn't enough. Something was missing. And after a lot of thinking he had figured out what that was. But that didn't mean he wanted to accept it. How could he? How could a grown man accept the fact that a little girl could drive him mad?
It was probably the fact that he had watched his best friend, James, settle down with a beautiful woman, whilst he was still single. Was he jealous? Kind of, yeah.

Staring at his blackboard, Eros waved his hand, and the curtains opened up, revealing the starry night. Sighing, he took a seat in his desk and waited for his students to arrive. The Solar System was going to be today's lesson, but he was too lost in his thoughts to make a plan on how to teach them that.

Being something of a strategist, Arthur didn't like to pay much attention to horoscopes and the more... fluffy nature of the subject choices. He didn't really believe an alignment of a star, or a planet, could influence any changes in the world. Of course, that meant he was sceptical as he entered the Astronomy lesson.

He didn't know what to expect, which was somewhat unsettling, and the board didn't give much in the way of what they were doing, but he could see the stars were out.

"Evening, professor." Arthur greeted the man with a small smile, pulling out a chair in the second row and sitting himself in place for the lesson. Taking out a notebook and a pen -- arranging them just so on his desk -- Arthur readied himself for the lesson that would start imminently.

His eyes, though, were studying the stars on display, trying to find any meaning in them.

Astronomy wasn't something he thought he'd take. He'd actually decided to do so on a whim, his curiosity for what the subject would hold getting the better of him. He enjoyed star gazing, it was relaxing. He found the stillness of a clear night, well, it was just calming. Perhaps learning about constellations could give him something to look for on those nights where his brain was working too much to sleep, hey, it might even help him sleep a little more by distracting him from his thoughts.

He made the gruelling journey up the stairs to the classroom, noting first and foremost that they could see the starry sky. And secondly that he was only the second student to arrive.

"H-hi," he murmured, slightly nodding to the professor before finding a desk. He set himself up for the lesson, taking out his notebook and quill and waited patiently for class to start.

Naomi took Astronomy for one reason, and one reason alone. The professor was one of the most handsome men that the world had to offer, and a few hours simply watching him speak was enough to get Naomi's interest. That was, therefore, why she'd signed up to the class, and arrived at the Astronomy Tower in time for the lesson to begin.

"Good evening, professor." Naomi greeted the man, tucking her hair behind her ear as she moved to a seat near the front. Not the front row, because that was for nerds, but the second, so that it looked like she held some interest in the lesson.

Taking out her textbook, notebook and pens, Naomi sat waiting for the lesson to begin with mild anticipation. Obviously they would be looking at stars, or planets, but that was a wide topic, and Naomi wasn't about to second guess what topic the professor was going to teach.

Florrie had something of an obsession with stars. They were beautiful to look at, she could stare for hours. So it seemed only natural to take a lesson in Astronomy, to see what it was all about. It was a long walk up the Astronomy tower, though Florrie didn't really mind at all. The only odd thing for her was actually having a class at night time. Though, there was no other way to actually study the stars other than night time.

"Professor," she gave a polite smile when she was finally in the classroom. Another positive to the lesson was simply the fact that the professor teaching the subject was more than easy on the eyes. That was a major bonus, though she wouldn't be one of those girls to daydream about teachers, no matter how attractive they were. She took a seat and readied her things for the lesson.

No matter where she was in her life, Julienne had always known that there would be one constant force in her life. The stars that she would see in the sky on a Paris night would be the same stars she'd gaze upon in Italy. Her world was ever changing, but it was nice to have one thing that wasn't. As a little girl, she used to have conversations with the constellations as though they were her long lost friends. She and Orion were closer than she'd ever been to any human.

Upon her arrival at Hogwarts, julienne had found Astronomy to be one of her favorite subjects. It was a way to learn new information on a subject that she had known for most of her life. It kept her tied to the world of the night sky, even in a world where she was inside of a classroom longer than out in the stars.

She walked into the Astronomy classroom with a small smile, taking the seat farthest to the back.

Lucy was chomping at the bit waiting for summer to finally start. It almost seemed that time slowed down when it was so close to the holidays, well, in Lucy's mind anyway. She was looking forward to the days where she'd have nothing to do except relax in the sun.

Lucy's reason for taking Astronomy was largely due to the teacher teaching the class. She was a fairly straight forward girl. She saw someone attractive, she took their class. Simple. She she decided to make her way up to the Astronomy classroom. It was quite the trek from the Slytherin common room, so she wasn't surprised to see that a fair amount of others had arrived before her.

She walked into the classroom, flashing a smile at the Professor "Evening," she greeted, cheerfully as she moved to the front to take a seat, waiting for class to begin.

The stars were fascinating, so it was of no wonder that Carlotta would opt to take Astronomy. One day, hopefully, she'd be able to reach them. Wizards, she'd discovered, well didn't have the means to, nor did she think they were even working towards it. At least they studied the stars, the constellations. That was something.

She made her way to class that evening, unable to shake the extraordinarily odd feeling that came with attending class after dinner. It was usually the time to sit back and relax, usually with a good book or a crossword puzzle. Instead, she was headed to class. Strange, incredibly strange. But no matter, she was learning about something that intrigued her. She walked into the classroom, pleased to see that it hadn't yet started. She gave a polite nod to the professor and found a seat silently, waiting for class to begin.

Astronomy, that was more her subject. A class she could finally pay attention in, purely due to the fact that it was the time of night where her energy spiked. She was certainly more of a night owl than an early worm. That had been evident since she was little. What better way to honour being a night owl than studying the stars?

Of course, she had her doubts she'd actually enjoy the class, purely due to the fact that she disliked class in general. It was a foreign concept, classes. Sure, they'd had basic classes in the orphanage, but those had been hardly as structured as these classes. Those classes were also easier to skip when she felt like doing more exciting things, such as joyriding in some idiot's car.

Never the less, she made her way up the stairs, surprised to see that class hadn't yet begun, being that there were so many people there, and she'd arrived rather late. She found herself a seat and waited rather impatiently for class to start.
