To Heir Clement,

I'm writing to apologize to you on how we parted that day in August. I don't expect you to accept my apology, nor do I expect you to read past this part of the letter however my conscience won't allow me to just leave it as it is.

I apologize on how I acted that day in the library and while I have no reason for my attitude towards you, I can only speculate that you pushed buttons that I didn't know I had. Whatever I had said in the heat of the moment I didn't mean. It took me not even half a day to realize what a fool I have been to fight you in such a public place or even fight you at all.

I'm a hotheaded person by nature and I was just caught unaware by how your words cut into me. Normally I would be level-headed but your words, no matter how true -and they were true-, cut into me so deep that I just lost it. I lost it and I apologize for that.

As previously stated, you don't have to accept my apology. I wouldn't accept my apology if I was in your place but I just couldn't leave our parting as it had been. I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you are a better man than I am and you will find it in yourself to forgive me, however, I don't expect you to. I hold no illusion that you will accept my apology, I only pray to Merlin and Morgana that I hadn't blown my chances at getting to know you.

I would like to, once more, sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart at how I acted.

Dear Ms. Roux,

I am writing to thank you for your letter dated 3rd September 2023.

Your apology has been noted, as you have asked of me.

This does not mean I have forgiven you -- not for your loss of patience at the Bibliothèque Mazarine, but for your lack of foresight in respect of Mimosa.

I hope this letter alleviates the current state of emotion that you're in which believes it to be fitting to write such a letter to me whilst I am busy with my university studies. Next time you wish to write to me, I trust it will be with a matter of greater importance.
