- Potions; Cameron fell in love with Potions when he had been a young child. He's not a prodigy but he is close to one due to his mother taking her time when she had still been alive to teach him and tutor him in everything that she knew.
- Mechanics; Cam loves tinkering with all sorts of mechanical stuff from cars to motorbikes and everything in between. He had been taught mechanics by a friend of his brother and since then he could be seen tinkering away in the Donovan family garage.
- Flying; While Cam likes Quidditch, his greatest passion is flying itself. The feel of the wind in his hair as he flies through the sky is something that he heartfully loves.

Dislikes: (3 minimum)
- Bullies; From a fairly young age, Cameron had been taught that to be a bully is one of the worst things that someone could be. Thus he finds a loathing for them and most of the time tends to stick up for the people that are being bullied.
- Transfiguration; Transfiguration is a subject that Cameron greatly dislikes, at the moment in time, purely because he doesn't see what good transfiguring a pin-cushion into a mouse would do in the future. He's fairly skilled at it though.
- Waking up early; Cameron is a night-owl so waking up early is out of his books. He gets very grouchy and nasty until he gets at least a cup of tea or coffee into his system to battle away the last of his sleep.
- Independent; After his mother died and his father retreated into himself, Cameron had to care for himself while his brother was at Hogwarts and due to that he became thoroughly independent.

- Spell-Casting; While not overly powerful, Cameron's spell casting is on point and he can get his spells down within three tries.
- Athletic; As an upside of getting into Quidditch, Cameron is fairly athletic and loves spending a few hours a day just training his body up, either during the morning or the evenings.

- His deceased mother; Whenever someone mentions his deceased mother, Cameron tends to retreat into himself and not notice anything around him.

Cameron grew up in a fairly loving and caring family with a mother, father and an older brother who doted on him. He had a happy childhood, never really denied anything. As the youngest child, he was protected by his parents but not in such a way that he was stifled. He was always reminded to never go with strangers, to never lie and to live a fulfilling life.

His parents did their best to bring them up with a sense of loyalty as well as try to instil a love of knowledge into him; which they succeeded and Cameron could be found mainly with his face buried in a book or trailing after his older brother and being taught what he knew.

His life took a sharp downturn when he was seven after his mother perished in a potions accident after an owl startled his mother and she dropped a handful of ingredients too early and had no time to leave the lab as the highly volatile ingredients quickly turned the medical potion into a muggle-like bomb and his mother died within moments.

With her death, Cameron had been forced to quickly grow up and learn to care for himself as his father had been in no right frame of mind to do it himself. He learnt to care for himself and that led to him growing independent early on in life.

When his Hogwarts letter came, Cameron took the chance to escape the still grief-filled household that the manor had become.

The Donovan family are an old Pureblood family with a long history however in the recent years, the past eighty or so, they started marrying half-bloods and Muggle-borns thus the purity of the line died out though the family magicks became stronger than ever.

The Donovan's for many generations had been involved in spell creation, potion making and defence; many following jobs in those sorts of directions. There hadn't been a Donovan yet that hadn't followed either of the three job choices as each and every witch and wizard of the Donovan line found themselves with an almost genius ability at their jobs.

Lauren Kahler and Martin Donovan met during their first year at Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express; they shared the same compartment and despite the fact that one was a Pureblood from a fairly old family and the other a half-blood, they found many things in common. Their friendship didn't dwindle even when they were sorted into different houses; Lauren joined the Ravens while Martin became a proud Lion.

Over the years, they found themselves slowly falling into a partnership that many from a distance could see would end up as love and during their sixth year, the two finally admitted what the others had seen for years.

They married two years after Graduation and the first of their sons, Andrew, was born just months following their marriage with Cam following eight years later.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck the Donovan's as Lauren had perished in a Potion's accident gone wrong during her thirty-fifth birthday, leaving a distraught husband and two grieving children.

Martin wallowed in his grief for a long time and unfortunately, his youngest son suffered for it - though Cameron doesn't blame his father for it. With his eldest son at Hogwarts, his youngest had no adult to look after him so Cameron had basically started looking after himself and their father, helping the man through his grief.
