| She couldn't believe that she was doing this - and what she meant by this was attending the yearly Hogwarts Ball dressed in a Greek-type dress with the Royal Tiara and Jewels to match. This shouldn't be happening, she should be dressing up in some gaudy dress with heels to match and not wearing a Greek dress with the Royal Jewels on show.
Hogwarts wasn't supposed to know that they were hosting a Royal Princess of Greece - muggle though the title may be, she was still of Royal Heritage and there were many Muggle-borns and half-bloods, and even some Purebloods, who knew of the Royal family. Here she was supposed to be just a normal half-blood witch with a tendency to be a sarcastic little bitch. And now because of this blasted ball and her mother's blasted eagerness of dressing her up meant that everyone who understood what her garb meant would instantly be in the know about her Royal lineage.
Standing stiffly but calmly, Apollonia let the hand-maidens that her mother sent to finish dressing her up and adorning her with jewellery and make-up that would make many a girls and women jealous - the glittering Greek jewels just brought out her natural beauty and the tiara that rested atop her head just brought attention to her fiery red hair that had been pulled into a loose bun with a handful of locks framing her aristocratic face.
Turning away from the mirror with a sigh, Apollonia pursed her lips and dismissed the hand-maidens that were staying for the night so that they could help her out of the dress after the ball.
She ruthlessly squashed the inkling thought that those handmaidens had also been sent to spy on her down, not wishing to think bad of her mother but also knowing perfectly well that the Queen of Greece was very much capable of spying on her without the use of the timid women that she surrounded herself with.
Giving her reflection one more glance, Apollonia rushed out of the room and to the Great Hall where the Ball was taking place, cursing in Greek under her breath as she stumbled through the hallways on her heels. She shouldn't be rushing just in case she was to break her neck but, damn it all to Hades, she was not going to be the last to get there.
Had she had any say on this matter, Apollonia would not have attended the ball at all but as this was her last year of Hogwarts, she had felt that she needed to mingle with her fellow witches and wizards just once at such an event though had she known before she had even agreed to attend, that she would be entering as Crown Princess Apollonia Elaine Hyalla Leandros of Greece, she wouldn't have agreed and instead she would've written her name down for going home.
Alas, she was here, dressed to impress as Ariande would say and whether anyone recognized her royal garb for what it was or not, she was going to enjoy this and she was not going to think on the implications of what would afterwards.
She didn't even think before she stepped into the Great Hall, for if she did think she would've rushed out of there as if the Cerberus of Hades itself was on her heels.- Apollonia's Dress/Jewellery:
