Background
Nirek was born in India on a terribly hot day, what made it worse was that Nirek decided to be born in the middle of the day when the heat was at it's worst. His parents, however, were overjoyed. After three older sisters had been born to the family, they finally had the son they always wanted.

When Nirek was five, the family moved to England, settling in Birmingham with the rest of the family who'd already moved. The lifestyle was comfortable, made easier by the fact his mother could do magic around the house whilst his father went to work.

It was therefore no surprise to Nirek when he received his letter at the age of eleven, but going to an English school wasn't the best idea his parents had ever heard of. Upon being sorted in to Gryffindor, Nirek had made 'friends' with a number of students but wasn't overly fond of most people, most especially the know-it-all Finley Allen.

Nirek had made the first two years of Finley's life something of a living hell, and insists on continuing this throughout the years at the school. After all, there's nothing more amusing that p-p-poor s-st-stuttering F-Finley.

Family Background
The Kapoor family have never been the wealthiest, as befits their culture, they have three generations living under one roof. This helps to bring everyone together, and to this day, this still happens. The Kapoor's moved to England in the hope of a better life for their children, though their eldest daughter has since moved back to India to be with her husband and his family.

The family is very close, but sometimes Nirek feels like he doesn't belong, though he's not sure whether that is because they are in England, or if he's just too different from his family.
