Background
Birth to Childhood: Following in the family "tradition", Winter attended muggle school from age 6 to 11, and continued on being taught muggle subjects as she grew up, thanks to her parents. During primary school, Winter was teased for having a "boy's name", and therefore demanded that her parents stop calling her Evan and call her Winter instead. The only person allowed to even use that shameful first name when referring to her was her cousin, Joanna. She was a good student, wanting to please her parents and getting top scores at school. Her very, very fist sign of magic was when she changed her eye color from green to blue when she was "practicing" beauty spells.
Teenage Years: After being admitted to Hogwarts, Winter was sorted into Slytherin - and once again made fun of because she was mercilessly forced to write
Evan W. D'elia on essays and homework. She had always felt like the "odd" Slytherin, as she disliked snakes from an early beginning and was not - and had never been - intolerant norntraditional. In fact, she still wonders how the sorting even came to put her in such a House. She did not go to school with Joanna, as she attended Beauxbatons instead, but the pair kept close by letters and summer-long visits. While at Hogwarts, she was friends with most people of every house, excelled at charms and transfiguration, and dated quite a few boys from her year and older.
Late Teens to Early Twenties: After graduation, Winter decided to follow a Healer career. She had always wanted to help people, so Healing appealed more to her. She has nowcome to terms with her appearance and her first name. Winter divides her time between her muggle and wizard friends, only few of the latter that kow of Winter's abilities.

Family Background
The D'elias are of Sicilian ancestry, with Eleazar being born in Syracuse, Sicily. He studied muggle school from age 6 to 11, at which point he left his home country to study magic at Beauxbatons, and only after graduation he was able to visit various countries as a tourist. During his visit to England, at age 21, he met Ariel Kennedy, a young Hogwarts graduate (Hufflepuff) who captured him with her live-in-the-moment charm and all-you-need-is-love mantra. He chose to take the risk of dating her, despite the almost 5-year age difference. After close to three years of being with her, he finally decided to take their relationship to the next level: marriage.
The Kennedys are of British and American ancestry, with Ariel and Evangeline being the last to bear the Kennedy family name. The two sister grew up close, despite Ariel's magical abilites. She attended regular muggle school until age 11 when she received an invitation to study magic at Hogwarts, something her parents - both lawyers - thought to be a joke. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, and when she graduated she began working a part time job as a muggle chef-in-training, and later switched to the British Ministry of Magic after marrying Eleazar.
The two families, though completely different, get along fine. So fine that Evangeline and Lucio began a short summer relationship shortly after Eleazar and Ariel's wedding, but it had to end due to reasons neither party has ever discussed, despite it happened in their teens.. Eliza got along spectacularly well with the late Julia Kennedy, and they often stuck together at family gatherings, always looking forward to traveling to Nottingham to visit her beloved friend. After Julia's death, both Eliza and Ignacio supported Robert greatly. Evangeline ( Ariel's sister) married
Nathaniel James at age 25, and it took them four years to finally conceive Isabelle. Upon discovering Isabelle's magic, they sent her to Hogwarts where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Unlike their mothers, Isabelle and Winter don't get along at all, with Winter being a former Slytherin and always trying to "change the world" and Isabelle always "wanting to be above everyone".
At age 28, Constanza D'elia became a Mirallegro by marrying Manny Mirallegro and gave birth to their first child - Edgar - 2 years later. Winter and Edgar grew up relatively close, but she was always closer to Joanna as they were born only a few days apart. Up until the day of Joanna's death, Winter considered her cousin to be her very best friend. As for her siblings, Winter was always closer to River, who often kept an eye out for her when Winter got in trouble. They played around the house, chasing each other and calling "it", inventing many reasons as to why and how the could become the best wizards in the world and cure all the hearts of people who needed mending.
