Background
Regardless of Caramarienne’s unorthodox entrance into the word and her technical status as an orphan, her only living relative being her older brother, she is an optimistic child. She adores all people that she meets despite whatever apprehension she has naturally. Cara is very shy, due to the society she’s grown up in. For all intents and purposes she is considered a Clement, out of Adelisa’s companionship to Eloise in their earlier years of life. Cara likes to read fantasy books, but abhors actual studying. She’ll do it out of necessity, however, in order to stay within the top 5 percentile scores of her class so to not disappoint nor upset her foster family.
Now although she is not by blood a Clement, she is used to getting whatever she so pleases; she’ll do whatever it takes to uphold her connection to the Clement name so to not shame the proverbial mother her adoptive one speaks of. Meaning she does not mind cheating or underhand trickery to get what she wants. Her sort of need to please the Clement’s has arose from her reading material. She reads journals from her mother directed towards her and Joubert, knows through stories about her father from her brother. She wants to keep her parents proud of her in death. She is shy and rather underdeveloped, her natural kindness and deep care for others is overshadowed by her need to preform somewhat perfect.
‘Somewhat’ pertains to the fact that although she tries her hardest to act graceful like her foster mother and sister. When she was younger she didn’t think her clumsiness and unpopular opinions were why many didn’t wish to befriend her; the maids that took to serving her started telling her that when she was with the Clement’s she was to not be so brazen and at least make an effort to act grateful. Therefore since she was six and up, she has been quiet around the Clement’s. This state of being makes her somewhat submissive even if she hates dominant people.
When she is with Joubert and the orphanage children she is preferred to be louder and preferred to be brighter; this has made her somewhat two-faced. She’ll adapt to any social situation she must; switching her learning and acting styles. Now that she’s in Hogwarts with Jacques, he is one of the only people she doesn’t refer to a family member out of her fear for him, she is either to continue on a path of lying about who she really is or meet someone who will change the way she is and bring out the brighter side of her. Either way she’s a flexible person at this age.

Family Background
Eloise Labelle grew up as a Ward of the Clement’s before her marriage at the age of 18 in Lyon, France. This was because her family had served and supported the Clement’s for a long time; dating as far back as the French Revolution. Eloise grew up quiet to the public, very gentle and very soft-spoken, but friendly to the other girls and avid in conversation. She didn’t care much for books; just music and looks. At 17 after Beauxbatons, she secured herself a marriage to a gentleman just a little bit older than her; and at 18 was married on her birthday and gave birth later that year to Joubert Lebeau Florelle. Her husband is a half-Italian and half-French pureblood who attended Durmstrang, Leon Florelle, and her held a cordial relationship, with a small amount of love between them.
Eloise was heartbroken when after five years of trying for children, the natural methods of conception were not going to work. To her surprise, her husband swore to stay true to her. This, rather than make her grow fonder for her husband, made her more determined to have another child for him. She took to leaving on trips to speak with shamans and other magical creatures about conceiving and only returning to Toulouse to engage in intimacy with her husband. Joubert was put on the back burner. For most of his life, this only spawned hatred for whatever children his mother was to bear.
Except for 18 years nothing happened. When he was 16, his mother’s close friend and godmother, Adelisa even got married; and by a stroke of luck it seemed magic had been in the air. Adeline had Jacques Clement, and his mother conceived a baby, a girl it seemed. Leon and Eloise were ecstatic over the arrival; Joubert found himself getting caught in waves of the excitement. During Adelisa’s pregnancy, Eloise and Leon proposed that they move to be closer to the Clement’s as the matriarch was to be Jacques’ godmother. They moved into a chateaux owned by the Florelle’s in Brotteaux and made the main home where it was mostly empty back in Touselle, an inheritance for Joubert.
To their immense shock once Joubert had come into the age of receiving his inheritance he declined it in favor of taking over an orphanage in the outskirts of Lyon. Joubert had met a man, Chester Romilly, out on the summer of his Sixth Year at Hogwarts who was dying off cancer. Joubert ushered him back to his home in Vaise; to his shock it was an orphanage. Over the course of the next months, Joubert would slowly develop an adoration for the children of the Orphanage of Vaise and children in general. When Chester passed away in the August of Joubert’s Seventh Year at Hogwarts, he signed the orphanage over to Joubert.
In retaliation, so to not look weak before their peers, Leon had no choice but to
publicly disown his son. On official documents it was still recorded that Joubert was his heir and inherit all the money he was to originally when he was 16 and half the establishments on his 21st birthday. He planned on trying to reconcile things between his son before then, but would never get to it.
Leon passed away in the middle of his wife’s pregnancy with Caramarienne. He was on a mission as an Auror for the Official Ministry of Italy hunting down rogue Dark Arts practitioners with the intent assigned by the Ministry to bring them in for questioning and his own intent to confiscate their items for family. It went wrong and he was murdered with magic; Eloise was heartbroken and basically crippled by the anguish at the loss of her husband and best friend. She was put on bedrest by the family doctor, but instead went to secretly looking for ways to bring her husband back. She was mad with the idea that her husband may be able to be resurrected and drove herself crazy searching.
In the end she gave birth in a old woman also ex-mid-wife's home in Rhone along the riverside near the heart of Lyon. It was pure luck that the old woman was a nurse; and in her tries to bring her husband back totally neglected her daughter’s development. The old woman was able to save the baby luckily, but not Eloise and she died on December 25th. It was Eloise’s last wish to the old woman she be named Caramarienne.
Joubert had been surprised to arrive to an empty house on the morning of the 26th; his mother was reported missing. When he went home to the orphanage that night the old woman was there with Caramarienne. Eventually with the help of private investigators, they correlated the fact that Caramarienne was Eloise’s daughter and the ‘only’ heiress to the Florelle’s.
As her godmother, Adelisa took her in and raised her as her own, but every weekend since she was a child, Joubert has stepped into the spot of taking her to the orphanage. When Elenore Clement was born, just about two years after, the hubbub surrounding Cara's controversial birth and family was washed over through the Clement’s. Joubert took to spending more time with Cara then in the early years of Elenore’s childhood.
