Background

Growing was terrible for Naomira, as she suffered mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. She had escaped her mother's mental and emotional abuse from her home in Kyoto, Japan and went to school overseas. Despite her being the supposed heiress, they overlooked her when she was 20 and her mother had remarried and had a son named Hideaki. Despite the large age gap, Naomi and Hideaki would grow to be rather close in the future. School under her mother's tutelage was hard and her life was never easy. Once she was in college and away from her mother at Merlin's Academy for Excellence, however, things looked up as she met her future husband, and later to be ex-husband, Henry Williams. He was everything she needed to help her look forward to her future. 

After she got a job as Cursebreaker Apprentice in the Ministry at the age of 22, she and Henry got married. It was good as he was a Dragon Trainer at a Reservation near England and where they shared a condo. Despite his werewolf tendencies they were very close and very much in love. However, he also suffered some mental illnesses that affected their relationship rather badly on days when neither could pull themselves from bed. In some instances, Naomi slept in the guest room, not wanting comfort. By 27 as an official Cursebreaker for two years, their marriage was in a questionable state. 

That was when Henry started to suggest children, and by the age of 28 she was pregnant and in early the year she turned 29, she had her beautiful son, Theodore. She was automatically attached to Theodore during her pregnancy and took to being a good mother fervently. However, when he was 11 months, and Naomi had to pull overtime in the office, he was left alone with his father, Henry, who tried out the milk on his tongue by mistake sucking from the bottle before administering it to Theodore.

The result from the exchange of saliva was Theodore was a young lycanthrope, and he spent six months after the event in St. Mungo's unfortunately. As much as Naomira tried to assure her husband there was nothing he could have done differently, he had fallen deeply into his depression. To the point that for the next three years, Naomira felt like a single parent. Finally, on her 32nd birthday she requested a divorce. On January 1st of the next year, he granted it and moved away, presumably to find himself leaving behind everything but his wand. Her heart went out to him and with him, but she needed to move on. Theodore lived a fairly good life, when he became more irritated she administered the regular potions (several to prevent too much pain, one to make him pass out so he would be a sleeping puppy essentially, and another to combat the strength of the wolfy urges). 

With the added stress, she's not as calm and collected as easily, but she's working to be alright, and she's still as friendly and kind as ever. Even if she's internally panicking on the inside, she's holding herself up for her baby boy the best she can.

Family Background

Naomira's mother's family, the Fujioka's are a famous import and exporting company for Japanese goods. Although because her mother was a witch, her aunt and her mother's younger sister Yuni took over the family business while Naomira's mother went into the Ministry work in Japan. Her mother Natsuki Fujioka is the head of the Foreign Relations with places like England since she was fluent from studying hard in school at English. Natsuki was twenty six when she met Naomira's biological father, a high up Ministry official. The two had an immediate connection, and she spent two months in England working with Naomira's father. However, as it turns out Natsuki had fallen in love with a married man who eventually packed up, took his wife and two sons and left.

Naomira has never known of her father. 

Heartbroken, Natsuki swore to never let a man affect her so strongly ever. This decision affected Naomira very harshly growing up. Natsuki sent Naomira to an all girl's school to become the heiress to the Fujioka business as Yuni was only recently getting married when Naomira was four. Her grandparents looked at her like a curse. Like she was a disease and it made her self-conscious of what she said around her family. At the age of nine she had anxiety because of the performance expectations put upon her from her family members. Luckily or not so luckily, Natsuki put Naomira on medication to help her control it or soothe it while piling more onto her plate. 

She had no solace except for her mother's old textbooks from magic schools. Naomi would sneak them out of her mother's trunks and when she was ten and her magic manifested itself while she was reading the spells allowed. Her mother then switched gears and begun to try and force Naomira to do as she wanted; follow the path that Natsuki set for her. Her mother used tactics of emotional abuse as well as mental through her words.

At sixteen, Naomi found she also had clinical depression. Despite her forgetfulness, taking her medication on time was the one thing she never forgot to do. At sixteen, Yuni recognized the sort of treatment her family was giving her favorite and only niece and told her to pack her bags and stay with her. Natsuki didn't even fight for Naomi, but she wasn't disowned. 

In short, Naomi and her family do not get along as families do. However, things have changed and they are colder to her, except for her aunt Yuni and uncle Kyo.
