Background
Maria Sanchez traveled illegally to London to escape her life of gangs and drugs in Mexico. Her father was one of the top gang's leaders, and she didn't want to be involved with it, and that meant leaving her family without them knowing. She packed up her belongings, and left everyone behind with no money, and a new identity. She was now, Anastasia Lopez.
In London, she worked odd jobs, which unfortunately included selling herself to men for money. She only did this when she was desperate and behind on paying the bills. It was when Ana met Leroy Matthews. Leroy helped Ana get on her feet. He was kind, smart, owned a company, and was therefore really rich. Ana wasn't sure which she fell in love with more. Leroy, or Leroy's money. Either way, he got her out of her situations and she was head over heals.
Six months into their relationship, Leroy proposed to Ana, and that same night, Ana told Leroy that she was expecting. This made Leroy's family on edge, as he was 47, and she was 25. But they didn't care for the families judgment. Leroy and Ana were in love and that was all that mattered. They married, and then Ana gave birth to a beautiful baby boy whom Leroy wanted to name Rowan after his brother who had died three years previously.
Ana had no idea that Leroy was a wizard when she married into the family. So when Rowan was a young child, and making things explode Ana was naturally freaked out. That's when Leroy had to tell her his big secret. Suddenly, things started clicking and making sense in Ana's mind. Leroy told Ana about a magical school where Rowan could go to learn how to control his powers. Ana was hesitant about letting go of her baby boy at such a young age, but she obliged when he said Rowan would make his family extremely proud.
She agreed to send him to Hogwarts.
