Joshua grew up in Massachusetts, America. He was born into a family of muggles who were unfamiliar with magic. When he began to show that he had powers, his parents began worried about how those around them would feel about their son being different from the rest of the population. His parents forced their son to keep the fact that he had powers a secret. He did as he was told, but he began to worry about how his peers felt about everything else he did.
He worked out as much as possible, trying to keep up a healthy image. He joined team sports such as soccer and football, which gave him a need to be competitive and come out on top. His parents were proudest of him when he was earning sports and academic related achievements, but. They resented the idea of their son doing anything artistic. Joshua had asked his parents many times if he could join theatre, but they would always refuse. He enjoyed the stories and music that came along with theatre. It delivered something that he did not give much of...truth.
As the boy grew older, he also grew curious about the powers that he had acquired. At first, his parents did not want to allow him any access to the wizarding world. They did not want their son somewhere that they had not ventured. Afterhe was expelled from his school due to a magic-related accident; however, they allowed him to enroll in Hogwarts.

Collin and Hillary met in college. They both studied at Champlain College in Vermont, USA . They met through a mutual friend, who figured that thw two would be perfect together.They were almost imediately smitten with eachother and about a year after graduation, the couple had already moved in together and a couple of months later, Hillary was expecting a child. About a month before Joshua was born, they moved to a small town in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Hillary and Collin were seen as “the perfect couple.” In reality, the couple was very cookie cutter and had little substance.
