-Leading girls on [Disclaimer: This will change because of Mei Xin.]
 -Quidditch (and sports in general)
 -Fantasy books

-Giovanni, for being the family ‘favourite’.
-Heroism, chivalry and all that sort of idealism.
 -Following family traditions
-Being mistaken for his older brothers
 -Family reunions
-People who tell him what to do
-People who don’t know how to be independent

-History of Magic, Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures

-Friends and family. Despite his aloof exterior, he is utterly loyal and will not hesitate to rush to his loved ones’ side if they need his help.

Positive traits:
-Open-minded and non-traditional. Strangely enough, despite his egoistic tendency to lead girls on, he is a feminist and is all for women being independent and treated as equals to men.
-Adventurous. He is a Cassan, after all.
 -Has a secretly caring side.
-Responsible (despite his seeming rebellious tendencies)

Negative traits:
-Dishonest with himself when it comes to his true hopes, desires and dreams.
 -Too rebellious towards family
-Envy; he wishes his family could appreciate him as much as Raffaele and Giovanni.

One of the most difficult things about growing up as the third Cassan son was that there was always the pressure to make a difference and set himself apart from his well-loved, successful older brothers. Sadly, Felipe Angelo Cassan wasn’t born to become another hero. At a young age, he wasn’t interested in listening to his father’s stories about his valiant ancestors, and when his older brothers talked of adventure and being heroes, all Felipe could see was the impracticality and the infuriating self-righteousness of people who thought they were doing the ‘right thing’. So while his siblings played at being white knights of humanity, Felipe spent more time in the kitchen of Sant’Angelo, sitting on barrels of olive as his mother showed him how to cook pasta in the right al dente state.

Though his mother never failed to show appreciation for his interest in cooking, it was clear how the Giovanni Cassan was turning out to be ‘the ideal Cassan’. While Felipe cooked with his sister Adelaide in the kitchen, Giovanni made friends in the neighbourhood and always made it a point to save kittens stuck in trees. While Felipe did his best during their backyard Quidditch matches with their cousins, Giovanni was still seen as the star player, the quick-as-lightning Seeker who always scored the winning points. And by the time Felipe entered Hogwarts, Giovanni was a star Quidditch player and the favourite of his professors, while Felipe was that younger brother who just wasn’t as good. It didn’t help that he was sorted into Slytherin, which wasn’t exactly a popular House amongst the Cassan family.

His mother often theorised that he just had too much Sozzini in him. Being a Slytherin wasn’t a bad thing, according to his mother. It just meant that he had a bright future in a path that was different from his siblings. Still, his apparent difference from the rest of his family was an identity that weighed on him, and though he eventually learned to accept his difference, the feeling of being left out never truly did go away. He could have the best grades and a consistent record in Quidditch, but he would never be like Raffaele or Giovanni, or even Adelaide, and he often felt as if he only had himself to applaud his hard work and achievements.

In order to cope with his loneliness, Felipe set out to be the most un-Cassan person he could be. Though he still did his best to get excellent marks and be a good Quidditch player, Felipe went around breaking girl’s hearts. He would get their attention, lead them on a bit, and when they finally showed him affection and attachment, Felipe would tell them that, sorry, they were nice girls, but he actually wasn’t all that interested. He slowly gained a bad reputation amongst female Hogwarts students, although some still saw the ‘heartbreaker bad boy’ front as a challenge.

He was an asshole and he knew it. He knew, too, that all those girls deserved better. It had gotten so terrible that at one point, Adelaide even threatened to humiliate him in front of girls next time he tried to break someone’s heart. And perhaps, he should listen to her. Adelaide may be another dumb Gryffindor, but at least she wasn’t as ridiculously self-righteous as Giovanni. Adelaide had been in the Sant’Angelo kitchen with him when everyone else was too busy dreaming of becoming heroes, and that made Adelaide the sibling he liked the most.

Yet there was just something addicting about breaking people’s hearts, about making people feel rejected. Perhaps, in time, there would be redemption for him, but for now, Felipe thought that if he were to be the Cassan black sheep, then he might as well own it.

The Cassan family are descendants of Norman warriors who moved to Ireland many centuries ago. They are of Germanic and Italian origin, and are known for their bravery and loyalty to their friends. Today, Cassan wizards and witches protect others by working in mostly law enforcement (such as law, Auror work, etc). Michael Cassan also owns a few pubs both in the muggle and wizarding world, as he was taught business and trade skills by Helena Sozzini's parents.

The Sozzinis are a pureblood noble family from Tuscany. Though the founding family are known for working as bankers, jurists and humanist scholars, there were quite a few merchants who were savvy about economics and trade. These merchants would be the ancestors of Helena Sozzini, the head chef of Sant'Angelo (a Cassan-Sozzini restaurant property in Dundalk).
