Background Corienna Azura was born in a Muggle hospital in Ireland, to a single mother and what would be her grandmother. Raised in the family home for almost 5 years, she grew up with lots of space to run, especially considering that their property was on the edge of a forest reserve. One faithful day, there was a mishap with some idiots who went camping, and a giant forest fire damaged the land. Declaring the place far too dangerous to raise an adventurous almost-six year old, Emily and Fiona decided to move to England, selling their old house and instead buying a apartment unit (that was still fairly big) by the beach side.
This was where Corienna met Phillip, who was her neighbour. The two became fast friends, and went on many adventures together, paying on the beach and in the ocean, as well as exploring the nearby village. Since Laguna is a magical community, the two were exposed to their kind from a young age and grew to love the whole idea of going to a Wizarding school. When the letter came, there was no doubt between the two that school was going to be amazing.
Now, as an only child, Corie grew up spoilt, especially by her grandmother, who loved the child no end. Whatever she wanted, she got, as the Azura family was a rich one. Where or how they got the money, Corienna never thought to ask. She is used to getting her way, and will sulk and throw a tantrum when she does not. Partially due to the fact that not very many other children lived in the same area as her, the young witch only has one close friend – one best friend – her neighbour, Phillip. Having grown up with him, he is the one person that knows more about her than her own mother; but then again, one doesn’t tell your mother about the scraps you get into.

Family Background Emily Azura was a good girl. She never partied, never did drugs, never got drunk, never strayed off the path. At least, that was the case until she went to a club one evening to celebrate the birthday of one of her closest friends, at the age of 25. She had but one drink – a fire whiskey – but what she didn’t realize was that it had been spiked by someone with ill-intent. Luckily, someone else got to her before said person could (who, she never found out): a Pureblood named Kevin. She never got his last name, because their friendship only lasted the night.
Wanting to thank him for saving her, but mostly because of her drunk state, she got under the covers with the stranger-named-Kevin. He left the next morning, and she never saw him again. However, a few weeks later, a letter came in the mail, offering her a large sum of money to keep quiet about her night. It was then that she discovered that Kevin was a Pureblood, but again, from which family, it was never stated.
She declined at first, not being the type to want to blackmail anyone, but then discovered she was pregnant. Replying the letter informing them she had no intention of telling people but that she didn’t have the money to raise a child, she honestly wasn’t expecting much. At least, until a couple of days later, she got a call from Gringotts informing her that she had received a substantial amount of money from an anonymous source. To this day, she has no idea who ‘Kevin’ is, or who the family is.
Asking her widowed mother to move in with her, Emily and Fiona raised Corienna together, providing her with a healthy and happy household of only women. |
