Soon after the two Ravenclaws had finished the first stage, two more students seemed to have finished their potions too. Moving to the boy first, James inspected the cauldron, gave a short nod and shrunk it down for later inspection. A new cauldron was in place a moment later, and James motioned for the boy to continue without a word.
Moving to the young witch, James repeated the action, checking the contents of the cauldron and giving a small nod to the witch to show she'd done well. After that it was another quick shrinking spell and a new cauldron for her to continue on with.
Moving back to the front of the room, James waited patiently. This wasn't a race, so there would never be a prize for finishing first. But he was interested to see who had flair, who had passion for Potions, and who was simply here to pass the time.
