Tessa decided that she was going back to their apartment. She knew it was going to be painful but she needed it. So after many hours on the plane, she made it to DC. The last time she was here it was with Jackson. She couldn’t help but sigh as she flagged a taxi down. After giving the driver the address she was looking out the window. Why was she doing this to herself didn’t Jackson do enough to her? Now it was like she was going to plunge the knife in her heart once again. After paying the driver she walked up to the apartment door. Was she ready to do this? Tessa didn’t have much choice as she was already there.
She then dug into her purse and pulled out the key. Tessa was amazed that she didn’t throw it away after the fight. Place the key into the door she sighed “Here goes nothing.” Turning the door she walked in. Looking around she noticed that it still looked the same. That is when all the memories were flooding back. She was standing in the living room and walked over to the couch. Tessa remembered how she and Jackson would curl up and watch movies. There were some times they wouldn’t bother to watch.
Look at these photographs every time it makes me laugh.
Walking around it was all coming back. But she wondered if it was the right choice. Jackson had cheated on her. They would never be the couple. The guy who fixed her broken self just to break it all over again. But she was going to try and enjoy this visit. She knew that it was the best for her to remember everything. She had walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. Looking at the chair Jackson would always sit it brought back a memory. They would sit down and eat waffles together. When he kissed her she had syrup on her lips. It was a magical moment as she knew that Jackson was hers. But it was no longer something that she could say.
Every memory of you walking out the front door. I found the photograph of the friend I was looking for.
Tessa had finally made her way into the main bedroom. This was going to be the most painful moment. This was where they would make passionate love. It was something that was never going to happen again. Jackson would make her forget like she didn’t have a care in the world. Nothing else didn’t matter when they were in the moment. What was the point of coming here? All it was doing was reminding her what was ripped from her. Why was she doing this to herself? Maybe it was to help her properly heal. All she was doing was putting herself into getting hurt all over again. Was she ready to pull the band-aid off?
While on the bed she couldn’t help but smell one of the pillows. It still had Jackson's scent on it. There was nothing that she wanted more to be in his arms again. Tessa knew that it was impossible as he was with Cinderella. She still had no idea who the woman was. It was just going to be a mystery. She remembered the last thing that she ever said to him. That she was going to get her revenge one day. Tessa was a woman of her word.
