Charms: Lesson One - Summoning Charm (All Years)

Now, magic was something Chee Wye could get a good grasp on, but only if it was non-verbal. His pronunciation of words and his accent and love of 'lah's and 'mah's and all those other additions that slipped into his daily talking prevented him from doing well on verbal work, unless he focused really hard. It helped that Cantonese and Hokkien and all those other dialects were intonation based, for he never struggled with getting the sounds right; his accent was the only thing that prevented it from fully working.

Having said that, he had perfected his non-verbal work, and so he still managed many spells. This was one of the reasons he enjoyed Charms; the other was that his new professor was, apparently, really hot. And that, of course, made things so much better.

Stepping into the room, his attention was called away by the pieces of paper on top. "Wah! Ho lang," he commented, then realised he hadn't been using English and frowned. "Errr, I mean, so beautiful," he corrected. "Soli Plofessor," he apologised, his 'r's sounding more like 'l's in that moment. It was then that he realised the rumours were true, and had to hide ann exclamation.

Moving to the very front row, he took her in and smiled warmly. "Hello, hello," he greeted. "You new right? I also new. Don't need to worry, we all very well behave wan," he told her, genuinely trying to be friendly. "Eh, what we doing today ar? Look almost like art class like that..." [Translation: "You're new here, right? I'm also fairly new. There's no need to be worried; we are all well behaved [students]. Hey, what are we doing today? It looks almost like you have an art class planned..."

Charms was easy. Well, truth be told, magic was easy, for all it took was a little focus and concentration, both of which Maddie knew she possessed. It was, therefore, usually a waste of her time to attend classes, especially when it was practical work; she could easily try the spells on her own during her free time, and then if she still couldn't figure it out she could approach Professors. But, apparently, going to classes counted towards her final grade and not just how well she performed, and so she forced herself to attend.

There was one other reason she wanted to go to charms, and that was her boyfriend. When Professor Ellingston left, Madison had not thought much of it, but since she started dating Finley and realised how much the man meant to him, she couldn't help but want to cuss out the male for leaving. How dare he abandon Finley like that? If Madison had the opportunity, she would have hexed the Professor, but she kept this to herself, not wanting to worry Finley.

So, instead, she told herself she'd be there with him and for him, and that was probably the only reason she still attended every class. Slightly late this time round because she had been chatting with her sister, Madison slipped into class and let her eyes automatically find Finley. Smiling, she moved to join him, not forgetting to greet the witch in front with a hello.

"Hey, Finn," she said, moving to sit beside him. The back row. Perfect for observing people; Madison approved of this.

Melody happened to be very talented at charms. And in most aspects of magic, like her sister. They couldn't help it, the two were just genetically blessed with regards to their magical ability, and they made no effort to hide it. Hiding their greatness was against their very nature, and that was something that she never did.

She walked into the classroom, noticing first the floating pieces of paper, and was slightly confused at what they'd be learning about. But she didn't give it too much thought. Class would begin soon enough. She then found her sister and made her way over. Unsurprisingly, she was with Finley. However, she didn't mind third-wheeling. Her sister was her sister, and they'd always be close. And Finley, well, he was alright. He wasn't the type that would do anything to hurt Madison, so Melody gave him no negative thought. She took the seat beside her sister and waited for class to start.

Annie dashed down the hall as fast as her energy filled legs could carry her. She still hadn't gotten the layout of the castle and three times she had somehow ended up in the girls bathroom on just about every floor. But now it seemed like she was finally on the right track as she suddenly burst into the right classroom gasping for breath "Why does this castle have to be so freaking big!" She crys out before taking a seat next to another Hufflepuff, a black haired girl in her fifth year it looked like. "H-Hey"

She says between gasps for air and as her face met the desk with a thump. Annie wasn't out of shape but between all the running around she had to do and missing breakfast on top of it all she was going to be less energetic for the time being.. not that less energy meant much of a difference when it came to Annie.

Ryder had remembered not really having charms last year due to their being no Professor, well that he knew of anyway. Since he did not really pay attention to that type of stuff as he made his way to his first Charms lesson of the year. The twelve year old had been okay with Charms, but not the greatest.

Well truth was it had probably not helped that he rarely attended classses to actually learn it, since he had spent his time doing more interesting stuff than being involved in his classes as he made his way to the classroom and entered it and he knew he was late as he just went to sit down.

As well as not really knowing what in the world they would be learning as he soon looked at the bored and shook his head and wondered what in the world they were going to be learning.

Ryder just simply sat back and wondered.

Tristan had enjoyed what he heard about Charms, as he decided to get up and walked to Charms and he knew that he needed not feel put down as he made his way to class and soon entered Charms as he soon looked around to see he was late once again and he sighed.

He knew this had not be a habit or he knew his parents would be mad if they found out he slipped, but also understanding due to his new status that he is still trying to adjust to it, as he soon went to take a seat and he wondered what Charm would be taught as he looked up and he wondered.

Soon listening and wondering what would be taught and soon he listened and hoped he would get an answer on what they would be learning as he looked and sighed.

Tristan soon sat back and waited.

The seventeen year old loved Charms class since he liked charming people, even though Potions seemed to be more of a class for being charming and brewing love potions and having someone be obsessed with someone. Since, in his eyes, no other guy was cuter than him, and if he could have every girl he would take it.

Cole had been taking his merry old time as he walked to Charms since he loved looking around and seeing others be late, even though himself had been late as he resumed walking with a smirk on his face as he soon arrived to the third floor.

He knew it was perfect, just another apology so he would not be late to his class and lose point since in his seventh year he did not want to lose any points, as he soon had entered the classroom to see others casting spells and he wondered what spells would be taught and he soon looked and saw the professor and said.

" Sorry Professsor, I promise I will not be late. " said Cole as he went over to take a seat and he hoped this would not get him killed.

Sophie loved learning about Charms, and she loved using magic to make her life easier. Even though she still loved using the muggle way, but she loved magic more. Then as the girl had rushed to her Charms class hoping she would not be late. Then soon she hoped that she would not be too late.

Then once she entered the classroom, she saw she was not late and how students were still arriving and she smiled as she soon looked up and saw papers floating how amazing it looked, as she soon saw her brother and smiled.

" Were not late. " smiled Sophie.

Then soon she wondered when the professor would start teaching as she sat her stuff down by a desk and she wondered what spells they would learning in which she could use in her daily life and she soon sat back and she rolled her eyes.

She just wanted to learn and hoped they would.
