| Naomi had to cover her mouth to keep from laughing out loud at Phillip's antics, but she sobered quickly as the Professor began explaining where Jake was. This was the second time she'd heard this explanation, but she listened again anyway, wondering if she could possibly visit Jake in the hospital.
Still, the lesson progressed onward, so Naomi made herself focus, raising her hand to answer the professor's most recent question. "The best thing you can do to prevent a werewolf attack is to stay inside during a full moon or to otherwise get yourself out of the werewolf's attack range, such as climbing a tree." The most effective defense: avoidance of attack. Naomi knew that it wouldn't always be possible to completely avoid werewolves, but still, it was the best possible way to evade attack. She didn't know of any spells that specifically targeted werewolves, s she waited for other answers. |

| Turning his attention towards Naomi as she answered his question, Daniel nodded to show that what she was saying was correct. Only once she had finished did Daniel address her point. "That is one option, correct Naomi!" Daniel told the witch with a smile, turning his attention back to the class as a whole.
"Avoidance will always be the best strategy in respect of defending yourself from any potential threat, so on a full moon, you should do your best to keep yourself locked in your home, or somewhere safe. Now, I'm not trying to scaremonger you, and for the most part you will be safe. There are very few rogue werewolves nowadays, but you should always be prepared.
"But, lets for the sake of this class say that you cannot keep yourself locked out of harms way and find yourself in the vicinity of a werewolf. What would you do if that situation was to arise?" Daniel asked, looking around for answers. |

| Alberi had been lost in thoughts. He was trying to put away what the muggle world told about werewolves and what hey actually were. That was the problem with the famous creatures - everyone knew them and there was so much different theories for each that it was hard to know he actually truth in a while. He honestly hated that part. Though it was interesting to know how they came to such thoughts. Though if a lot of werewolves and what not were like Walden the Weird, it would actually make sense. To one point, anyways.
Suddenly Alberi noticed that the class had started and that he teacher was even asking questions. Idiot! How did he draw out so quickly? He's a plain idiot... Listening to the rest of her answer, he tried to make out what the question had been. Though, at the end, he didn't even need to because the professor himself had to repeat it. Well, not exactly repeat it... Alberi really needs to find a book on how to express yourself again - he seemed to be forgetting again. Hopefully he would be able to find it at this school, though. Otherwise he'd just ask his mother to send it to him.
He allowed himself a few second so yet again sort out which was real and which - not, before he began to answer the question himself. “Well, one of the things that hurts a werewolf enough to avoid death is silver - it doesn't kill it, though. Other then that... Well, the next most helpful would be to run, really. When in form, they aren't the fastest of creatures, so if you think you have the chance...” He trailed of at the end. He tried to think of something else which would help but he couldn't think of anything else. The boy waited to see if anyone else would say something or the teacher had something himself to say.

| The answer from the first year was a good one, and Daniel nodded to show he was listening intently. "Very good, Alberi." Daniel told the boy with a smile. "Silver will do enough to allow you to get away from the beast, but not always something you will have on you. Whilst running might be a possibility, I don't think I would recommend it, personally. The best way... would be to try to stun it, or to climb out of it's reach. Though, of course, the likelihood of a werewolf attack is very small." Daniel explained, not wanting to cause fear in the class.
But, now, it seemed the lesson had all but come to an end.
Frowning momentarily to himself with the question of where the time had gone to himself, Daniel looked to the rest of the class with apologetic smiles. "It seems that is all we have time for today ladies and gentlemen. Good luck in your year end exams, and I will see you next year!" Daniel told them with a smile, dismissing them only a moment later.
Class now closed. House Points Alberi Woodston = 10 points for attendance + 5 points for answer = 15 points. Phillip Brennham = 10 points for attendance + 5 points for answer = 15 points. Victoria Newbury = 10 points for attendance Sumire Sidhir = 10 points for attendance + 5 points for answer = 15 points. Aaron Tate = 10 points for attendance Finley Allen = 10 points for attendance Naomi O'Hare = 10 points for attendance + 5 points for answer = 15 points. |
