Background
Christina grew up in family where her parents weren't always the most sober once you could say. She was never really happy around her parents. She always tried to stay away from home so much as possible. She began to lie in young age about her family. She most of times said that her parents were on business trip so she didn't wanna be alone at home, so asked from friends if she can stay at this time to their house. Actually just she began to figure out days when her parents weren't really themselfs and wanted to hurt her. She had even in mind running away from home and she once even did actually. Her mother side grandma did found her and did bring her into her house for awhile, girl was back then about eight or so. Christina grandma died two years later and girl had to go back to live with her parents.
When she got letter from Hogwarts she was really glad to go there, that meant more time away from her parents. She did learn about magic when she was 5 or so but never used it much since she realized it's not good use around muggles. She hopes it goes well in school.

Christina parents met in Hogwarts and had Christina by accident but they decided to stay together for girl but soon later one they realized that they wanna party more than raise a kid but still didn't give her away. Christin learned in young age how to stand up for herself.
McGee family is halfblood family. It's been like this centuries, there isn't really that many relatives who care about Christina and her future. Noone really wants a kid who doesn't know nothing about rules and who likes to lie.
