"I miss you..."

"It's only been... twenty hours, I'm sure you don't."

Jake remained quiet for a moment, before letting out a soft laugh. "You really have no idea."

"Don't use that tone."

"What tone?"

"You know the tone."

"Should I stop?"

"Only if you want to..."

Jake grinned to himself, his hand moving to the button of his pants as he pressed the phone closer to his ear. "I mean it, being apart from you... drives me crazy."

He could hear movement at the other end of the phone, and the night would feel better now.

"Vic, that's not..."

Jackson laughed shaking his head.

"Taylor Swift's Love Story is an angsty song!" Victoria insisted, but the man was laughing harder as she said that. "Don't laugh, that is an angsty song, and it's the one I remember the most from my teenage years."

"You're something else!" Jackson insisted, laughing as he nuzzled in to her neck on the sofa.

"I hope that's a good thing!" Victoria laughed, leaning in to the kiss in the attempt to be huffy with him, and failing.

"Mmm," he responded softly, and Victoria closed her eyes, relenting to his ministrations gladly.

The sound of an explosion sounded from Holden's room, Victoria turned in to the doorway.

"I dived down for cover, then. Hoping not to have been hit-"

Victoria gently cleared her throat. "Don't you think he's a little bit young for those stories..?"

"He's two months old, Vic!"

"My point exactly." Victoria laughed, moving across to her husband and lacing her fingers through his. "Maybe wait until he's a teenager before you terrify him, hmm?"

The suggestion wasn't for Holden, though, it was for herself, Victoria didn't want to hear the stories of the war.

She'd seen the outcome.

"Then what should I do. Drag Victoria out in front of them. She's pregnant."

"Again?" Jenna asked incredulously as Sloan automatically replied.

"She is our best strategy, we have to utilize her."

"She's my wife."

"She's relatable."

Jackson looked torn, unsure if this was even worth winning.
