Atronomy lesson 1 (All years)

Verena got to her classroom a little bit early and started setting up for class. This was her first time teaching and was very excited to see who and what she got for students. Being the deputy Headmistresses was a great life for her. The young woman wrote on the board with a white piece of chalk.

Jupiter's Moons

She wrote on the board. The young professor was waiting for her class to start, she had a whole five minutes left before kids started to come in. The doors were wide open for everyone who wanted to learn Astronomy to come in. She was a little nervous but she was mostly excited to be here and ready to teach for the day. She sat in her chair behind her desk and kept her eyes on the door. She drank some of her coffee while she waited for people to show up.

Quinn woke up from her sleep when she heard her alarm go off. She needed to get ready for class. So the young Hufflepuff got up and got dressed in her Hufflepuff gear, then sat in front of her mirror and started brushing her long brunette hair. The girl was a beauty but she never liked being called that, it was because of the fact she liked thinking of people equally and not just herself. Whenm her hair was brushed out and not full of bed head and knots, she began on her makeup. She never used too much. When she was finished she got up to go to class.

Quinn walked into the Astronomy class room and already saw Professor Harris there. Quinn took a seat towards the middle of the classroom, she was the first one there and knew a lot about Astronomy and was excited to be able to be in the class.

Zoey was nervous. Today was the first day of lessons, and never had she ever felt like she was going to vomit. Zoey looked at her worried expression in the mirror and nodded to herself. She wished her grandmother were here so she could give her a big hug. She adjusted her robes, and set off for her first day. Astronomy had been a class she was interested in learning about. She loved looking at the night sky with her grandmother, and thought it would be nice to know what exactly she was looking at.

Maybe she could even impress her grandmother with the knowledge she would learn from this class. Being a first year, she didn't know any of the teachers or who to look out for. This was nerve wrecking for her. Zoey looked in the classroom and stared wide eyed into it. She had never seen something so terrifying. She realized that the teacher was in there, so there was no backing out now. She had to go in.

Zoey took a deep breath, and walked in. She looked at the professor for a few seconds and then kept her head down at her desk for the rest of the time. She decided to get out some parchment to take notes on, ands saw "Jupiter's moons" written out on the board. Maybe her grandmother would like to know about the moons. She had no idea. She got out her quill and wrote the topic at the head. She hoped she didn't get called on during this lesson. She might pee herself.

Naomi and Finley climbed the many, many stairs to the Astronomy Tower, chatting about how classes had gone that day. While Astronomy wasn't her favorite class, she did enjoy stargazing and the stories behind the constellations, so Naomi was pretty excited to get to class.

Reaching the top, she nodded to the new professor before moving to the front of the classroom with Finley to sit down. The only other people in the room were two Hufflepuffs she didn't know, one a few years older than her and one a few years younger. She wondered if they were nice, but she'd probably stick to partnering with Finley if she could.

With nothing to do but wait for class to start, Naomi doodled on a scrap of paper while she and Finley continued talking quietly, trying not to disturb the others. The story of Ariadne and Theseus took shape under her quill, and if it wasn't quite the work of one of the masters, it would do for her.
