Violet was alone. That was nothing unusual really. She was sat at the trunk of her usual tree, knees drawn to her chest and a novel in hand, utterly absorbed. It was her time away from the stupidity that was teenagers. All the chatter about things like makeup, hair, who was shagging who, all useless, all mundane. Anyone sane (or rather insane) would understand Violet's reasoning. This place was peaceful, with crisp cool air and always dark.

Her eyes scanned the pages, a lumos charm lighting the tip of her wand to light the pages, almost robotically. She took in the words, she knew what was happening in the scene, but none of it hit any nerves. It was supposedly a sad book, but nothing had ever made Violet cry, and she wasn't sure that anything would. She was numb to pain, to joy, to everything besides anger. Anger festered inside her like nothing else, boiling and bubbling when provoked. Anger and boredom. So, she often went wandering for something to excite her. Reading depressing novels was just something to pass the time when she couldn't find any opportunities to truly excite herself.

The quietness of the forest was disturbed by a rustling of leaves and she glanced around to see the source, seeing nothing at first. It was only shining the light that she saw, barely, an adder snake slither into a bush. A smirk tugged at her lips with the chance to practice what she considered her greatest skill.

Her hiss was soft, almost a whisper, though she understood perfectly what she was saying. The adder slithered back into the small opening in which Violet sat.

Something had caught her eye on her usual walk around the grounds with her sister, both of them discussing a wide range of things - from boys, to those in their posse, to classes, to memories of their past adventures - and she paused, mid-sentence, to watched as a familiar Hufflepuff face slipped into the forest. Now, it was called 'Forbidden' for a reason, but that didn't mean many people frequented it; it had become just part of its name, and not a command or rule for most students.

Motioning to Mel, Madison followed after the witch. She had heard plenty a thing about the 6th year, but had seen no other reason to approach Violet, but it never hurt to see for herself what was taking place. After all, people either went into the Forbidden Forest to either get some peace or to do something not necessarily in accordance with school rules.

Stepping quietly, she stopped for a moment to watch Violet read, disappointed that it had been the first reason; the second was always so much more fun. It was, after all, how she got her blackmail material. But then, as she was about to turn and leave, she heard something that made her freeze. Was the Hufflepuff really...? A light smirk on her face, she withdrew her wand, holding it loosely at her side to show she was not a threat but was more than ready to defend herself, she stepped forward, making herself known. "Well, what do we have here? A Slytherin pretending to be a Hufflepuff?" she said, intrigued.

"Well, what do we have here? A Slytherin pretending to be a Hufflepuff?"

The voice, both intrigued and haughty at the same time, cut through the quietness of the forest. Just when I thought I had some peace she thought to herself, before turning to see two pretty blonde girls. Twins evidently.

She hadn't remembered twins, just the one girl. Perhaps she'd just never seen them together, they were practically clones of each other after all, easily mistakable for the same person. But she knew for a fact where they stood on the social scale of Hogwarts. They were rather popular, and from what Violet could tell, sneaky, charming, nasty girls. Girls that Violet actively avoided not because she was afraid of her feeling being hurt, or of people hating her because of them, rather because she had no interest in their silly little social games. She had better things to worry about.

And now they knew of her talent. It was no great secret that needed to be kept under lock and key, but would be an inconvenience to have to explain to everyone. She had an inkling of what they'd want now.

"Yes, and what of it?" she replied, looking between the girls.

The question made her chuckle, and Madison offered a sly grin towards the Hufflepuff. "Oh, I was just curious why you dress in yellow tones and hang out in the kitchens, that's all," she said, making her tone innocent. "I mean, I'm sure green is more your colour." Deliberately, she glanced towards the snake - an adder, by the looks of it - and back towards the witch with a calm expression. Truth be told, though, Maddie was excited, the prospects of what she had just found out nagging at her. There was so much they could do and so much they could accomplish together if only they could persuade Violet that the Bishop twins were worth it.

Which, Madison knew, would not be easy from what she had on the Hufflepuff. It seemed she was unswayed by popularity, and nothing really caught her attention. Part of the challenge, I suppose, Maddie mused to herself.

"Did you know," she went on, casually, "That your name is only one letter away from being violent?" Her eyes flashed dangerously, although it would only register as that to people who knew her. "We need someone who can be that for us, only much more subtly, if you know what I mean."
