When she was around ten years old, she saw a group of girls walking around with bright neon hair and she told her dad that she wanted to do that. He said that as long as he or one of her brothers supervised and she used temporary hair colouring, she was good to go. She has dyed her hair a plethora of different colours, but she tends to gravitate towards cool tones such as blue and grey. Her hair naturally falls in light waves, but she likes to straighten it most of the time. The length falls just under her breasts.

Sports: Gwennie has always been an active person. She is constantly in motion and contantly doing some sort of activity. She loves skateboarding (her skateboard is her main mode of transportation; she takes it wherever she can). She dabbles in quite a few sports, but her top priority is football (she’s quite good at it and she’s been playing since she was little).

Her Brothers: Being the youngest of four, and the only girl, Gwennie has always had a strong support system in her older brothers. They taught her how to take care of herself and how to fight back when she’s being picked on or taken advantage of. They, along with her dad, researched and figured out how to talk to her about certain female issues they knew nothing about (four guys trying to figure out a tampon was comedy gold. She wished she had gotten it on camera). They are her rocks.

Her Dad: If her brothers are her rocks, Gwennie’s dad is her ground. He juggled taking care of four kids and opening his own garage and he did both successfully and with little support. He’s the toughest person she knows, and he’s also the most vulnerable. He was never afraid to cry or be frustrated in front of his children if things weren’t going like he wanted to, but he also never took out his negative feelings on anyone else. He showed Gwennie that not everything is going to come easily, but the strongest people take what they’re given and turn it into something they can work with.

Pink Lemonade: For as long as she can remember, Gwennie’s number one dream in life has been to find a pink lemon because there is no way that all pink lemonade is yellow lemonade with pink food colouring. Pink lemonade is sweeter than traditional yellow lemonade and it can’t just be due to more sugar being put in. There have to be pink lemons somewhere and she is going to find them.

Big Cats: Cats are cute, but wouldn’t it be awesome to have a lion or tiger as a pet? Gwennie loves the power that exudes from big cats; how they take charge of whatever situation they’re in.

Kale Chips: While she doesn’t quite understand how kale is a “superfood” (she pictures a leaf in a cape and it just sounds like a weird time), Gwennie loves kale chips. She loves the aesthetic of a wilted leaf covered in salt and she appreciates how simple they are to make. The fact that they’re healthy-ish is also a plus.

Horror Movies: She likes watching horror movies with people who don’t watch horror movies (lots of screaming, super entertaining), but she also appreciates someone who is on her level of expertise. She likes to engulf herself in the thought process of whoever made the movie, picking apart every choice they made.

Crushes: While she has nothing against romance, Gwennie grew up with front row tickets to the fact that crushes make people do the stupidest things. She’s seen her brothers put themselves on the line for people they barely know and she doesn’t understand why. One time, her brother, Cody, went to school in nothing but boxers and the words “Will you go out with me, Gretchen?” painted on his chest. Gretchen said no and Cody was put in detention for a week.

Soda: The carbonation practically burns her throat and its not worth the taste. Juice is just as sugary with none of the pain. If soda is the only thing available, she’ll swish it around in her mouth until it goes flat and then she’ll swallow it.

People who Aren’t Funny but Think They are: She hates people who gather everyone around in a room to tell a knock knock joke they’ve already said four times that week as if it’s the most innovative thing they’ve ever said. Even worse are the people who egg them on and make the situation last way longer than it ever should have.

Chia Seeds: They have a strange texture and feel slimey in her mouth. She doesn’t mind the taste, but the mix of gooey and hard makes her want to throw up.

Rosemary: She finds rosemary confusing and doesn’t understand how people can put it in their food. They might as well take the branch of a Christmas tree and cook with that because it tastes exactly the same.

Math: Gwennie’s brain is good at putting numbers and situations into equations and figuring out the solution in a timely manner. She’s especially good at geometry; she likes to think in numbers and shapes and parts of a whole. It makes more sense than trying to use abstract solutions to a straightforward problem.

Stamina: Gwennie has always had to keep up with her brothers, so she became really good at maintaining her energy for a long amount of time. By age twelve, she was able to outrun her brothers and get through a moderate workout without breaking much of a sweat.

Street Smarts: Gwennie knows how the world works and she has the means to take care of herself if need-be. She has a good read on people and she can usually sense trouble from a mile away.

Concentration: Gwennie finds it difficult to stay focused on one thing at a time, especially if it involves reading or writing. It takes her significantly longer than it should to finish a book because she has a hard time staying on track and tends find herself reading one sentence over and over again. When writing, it’s difficult for her to take what’s on her mind and comprehensivley put it onto a piece of paper.

Vulnerability: Gwennie has a hard time showing weakness or opening up to people because she’s always felt like she has to be the strongest person in a room in order to have anyone’s respect. While she grew up knowing that it’s okay to ask for help and reach out, she finds herself bottling up any problems and only showing herself at face value.

Dedication: If she has a goal, Gwennie will not stop until she achieves it and she will do whatever it takes. She especially goes hard at challenges or tasks that jeopordize her reputation. This is often a problem because whatever she’s invested in takes over her life for this duration of it being her obsession. Mozzarella Sticks: Any restaurant she goes to has to offer Mozzarella sticks or she’ll go somewhere that does (it REALLY irritates her brothers, but they respect it). She’ll do anything for a good mozzarella stick and, despite the last weakness mentioned, she’ll drop whatever she’s doing for mozzarella sticks.

Organised: Because she has so many interests and takes on a-lot of passion projects, Gwennie prides herself in keeping her spaces clean and having a place for everything. This allows her to jump from one thing to the next without wasting time trying to remember where all of the bits and pieces are. Independant: She knows that her family is there for her whenever she needs it, but Gwennie prides herself in being able to rely on herself primarily.

Honest/Straightforward: Gwennie doesn’t sugarcoat things because she doesn’t think it’s going to help anyone in the long wrong. Being open and honest is the best thing you can do for someone, especially if not telling the truth is going to give them any romanticised image of reality.

Gwennie was born in London, England to Shayne and Eva Letrelle. Having been conceived unexpectedly while her parents were in the beginning stages of divorce, Gwennie only knew her mother for about a year before Eva moved away. Growing up, her dad and her brothers would sometimes reminisce about a time when their parents were happy; they would recall certain things Eva would do that they missed. It was obvious that of her brothers, Eugene missed her the most. It made sense because she had been in his life for the longest. Eva not being around had never bothered Gwennie much, as the woman left them shortly after her birth and she had little to no memory of her.
Not growing up with a female role model didn’t really hit Gwennie until she started school and began to notice differences between how the boys and the girls in her class looked and behaved. This didn’t really become a problem to her until physical changes started showing themselves and places started bleeding and she thought she was dying (this could have been because her brothers assured her she was dying). She still remembers the look on her dad’s face when she asked him what was going on. As she grew up, her family did their best to help her in any way they could. Her dad took lessons on how to braid hair and paint nails and her brothers prepared her for the world. They made her as tough as she was and she couldn’t imagine a world without them.
When she realised she had powers, she was informed that her brother Antoni did too. She knew that he went away to school, but she’d been told it was just because he liked being anywhere but home (he cared more than anyone she’d ever met, but Antoni was always super angsty when he was younger). They told her that Antoni actually went to school to learn how to be a wizard and they imagined she’d attend the school as well. When she first got to Hogwarts, Antoni showed her around and made sure that she would be okay. Being so used to her family and the surroundings she’d grown up in, the only way she got through the transition was by having her brother at her side.

Eva Arnette and Shayne LeTrelle met when she was 24 and he was 29. They met whilst working together at a hardware store and Shayne automatically took a liking to Eva. She was a beautiful free spirit who didn’t follow directions (she wasn’t really good at her job and Shayne often fixed any mistakes she made in order to keep her from getting fired). Having gone through relationship after relationship with guys who ended up screwing her over, Eva liked the idea of being with a nice guy who was just fun to be around, and Shayne was the picture of that description. They dated for a few months before Eva became pregnant with their first son, Eugene.
A month before Eugene was born, the two were married. Having loved Eva from the getgo, Shayne knew that this was the life he wanted and he was ready for what they were starting. Eva wasn’t the same way. The idea of being tied into a family so soon scared the life out of her, but she stayed put nonetheless. The couple stayed together and grew their family for ten or so years more before the doubts Eva’d always carried began to boil over. She wondered where her life had gone and decided that this wasn’t where she needed to be. As soon as she’d told Shayne that she needed to go, they discovered that she was pregnant again, this time with a girl. Eva told her husband that she would have this child and then she was leaving. And she did.
Eva leaving crushed Shayne, who was now left alone with four children. He hadn’t gone into this thinking he would have to do it alone, but now he did. He spent the first year she was gone hoping that she would come back, but she didn’t. They never heard from Eva again; the woman died in a car wreck a couple of years after she left and Shayne never found out.
