| Mimosa's giggles were almost unstoppable as Bushrah fell on her face. What an amazing performance! And everyone was enjoying ti too judging from the laughter that reverberated through the canopy. Even Mercy was in stitches, almost weak with laughter and holding on to the younger Slytherin for support. Soon enough, a group of people started humming something and though Mimosa had never heard it before, she found it catchy. It was simple enough to learn and repeat and soon, she too was chiming in with the runway wide Imperial March theme. In fact, the girl only realized Lyra had come on stage when someone shouted out Han Solo. Mimosa didn't know the movie but she knew the costume, Han Solo was some kind of space prince, maybe Lyra's sparkly dress made her look like space royalty? It didn't matter, the scene was still too funny for her to notice much else.
"Well, you're definitely going to win now!"
"Oh that's right, i have to go," The witch gently released herself from Mercy and dashed of backstage. An adult had appeared on teh runway now, announcing that they were takinga ten minute recess to clean up and saying soemthing about how every participant was beautiful. Mimsoa didn't bother to ehar the adult, heading straigt to where the participants were now huddled, Lyra with an arm around Bushrah.
"OMG Ashley and Loni, you guys were stunning," she praised happily before turning her attention to Bushrah who looked like she was about to be sick. 'And Bushrah, you were the best of all, i swear, every single person is laughing. I especially liked the fall at the end, no one ever does that!"
Her words made Bushrah's lips wobbled dangerously but Mimosa was beyond noticing, pulling out her phone to show the series of gifs being shared on social media, some with Han Solo's face edited on Lyra's body as she lifted Bushrah from the stage.
"Seema, Dominique, Mimosa, you're up next," someone called out and the young Slytherin rushed to the changing room where her box from the palace awaited. The large crate had not been pend until now and would have taken ehr ages to unpack manually. Thankfully it was from the palace and all it needed was her touch to fall quietly apart, revealing the soft packaging underneath. Grandmere had taken the theme to heart, sending erh a completely dress and cloak set made from fine magical wool that glowed softly in the light but Mimosa knew would change depend ont he setting. In addition tot eh dress, Gradnmere had also selected careful accessories that wouldn't merely look pretty but also serve to further the theme of royalty.
The package contained no shoes, letting the child subtly know that her current ones would do. the small hope of getting to wear heels was diminished just as quickly as it had sparked but no one would be disappointed with what the Lady Clement had put together.
As always, Gradmere knew best.
The package also contained a note, which she kept safely for later reading. Outside, the crowd was clapping along to Seema's rendition of a Desi mermaid, giving Mimosa a moment to set her hair under the crown Grandmere had included.
When she left her changing room, a soft gasp escaped the other models, malinger her friends with confidence. Quickly turning to ia, Mimosa produced the note, asking her friend to read it. A little confused, the Gryffindor read it out loud in a single breath.
"Queens are better than princesses, and you are better than any Queen. Love, Grandpere and Grandmere."
Mimosa dear, you're up next," Lyra's mother caked out, stopping a moment to take note of the girl's clearly priceless dress. Mutely, she moved aside to let the Slytherin walks out.
Mimosa Harrington took the runway like a pro. And she conquered it like a Clement.
And she looked both regal and stunning doing it.
