Reading near the lake (Open) Empty

If you don't have many friends and you don't want to spend all the time your time alone then you need to go and make some new friends but Paulina is never sure where to find them. So she just decided to go and get some fresh air for awhile. She even took her book with her. Maybe she can read it outside or something like that.

So Paulina walked around the grounds and tried to find good spot to read. At the end she decided to go and seat under one tree, where she did found the bench to sit even. It was near the Black Lake. She had good view here. She sighed since now she did thought that she could have taken her sketchbook and pencils with her.

She did take deep breath and slowly opened her book then, where she was left off with reading. She then began to read there. She did hear that some people were walking here now but she didn't pay attention tp them. No need unless they began to talk with her.

With the new term now here, it was just about holding on to the summer heat in Scotland. That, of course, didn't mean that Finley wasn't prepared, he already had his coat pulled around him, and his satchel over his shoulder had a couple of books to keep him company.

Stepping out in to the grounds, Finley stayed away from most of the people around him, not wanting to et in their way, or annoy them in any manner. It took him a little longer, therefore, to make his way down to the lake like he wanted to, but eventually he made it. Heading to the bench he'd found the year before, Finley was quite put out when he saw someone had already taken it. With a soft sigh, Finley was about to walk past when he saw it was someone he actually knew.

Moving a little bit closer, Finley smiled shyly towards the witch before he spoke. "H-hi Paulina. W-would you mind s-sharing the bench?" He asked timidly, if she said no, he would carry on walking, but he hoped she wouldn't. She'd seemed nice at the feast...

Paulina kept reading until someone asked question. She looked up and saw Finley there. She smiled at the boy. She looked empty place next to her and then at the boy.

"You can take a seat, I won't mind it," she said there back to finally after few seconds thinking. The boy seemed sweet and friendly. She had nothing against him so far. She then looked back at her book and conutined reading it. She wanted to finish it actually. Just two more chapters.

She looked once more up from the book and at Finley. "What brings you here?" she had to ask there now. She didn't wanna sound rude or anything. Just was curious and she tried to talk with this boy here. She could be friends with him if he only wants that. She won't mind any younger students being her friends at all.

When the older Ravenclaw said he could sit down, Finley felt relief rushing through him. There was nothing worse than being told no - not that he was a spoilt brat, quite the contrary, he just wasn't overly used to it. And being told no made even the most well mannered person in the world a little upset. "T-thank you." Finley responded softly, taking up the offered seat before the witch could think about changing her mind.

He'd intended on not disturbing the witch, in all honesty. They were Ravenclaws, quite happy tucked up in a book. But he'd barely managed to open his own book before the witch beside him asked what brought him outside. Finley wasn't sure if this was some kind of test, or something, so he allowed a moment to think of an answer.

"I l-like being outside. It m-makes reading more c-comfortable." He explained with a small smile up at the older witch before he montioned to his own book on dragons. "It m-makes the adventures seem more r-real." He added as an after thought, hoping she would understand him so he didn't look stupid, or something.
