| Salem didn't know why he was trying so hard with this date but for some reason he really wanted to impress her and he didn't know why. He wore a tux and hoped he looked good to her. What are was he saying? Why was he trying so hard? After he had sex with her he was going to leave. Right? Right now he didn't know anymore, he was a player, no one ever truly loved him and now here he was a heartless man trying so hard to get into some gorgeous girl's pants. What was this world coming to? Salem sent an owl to Mackenzie to have her meet him at the neck of the England woods. He had an amazing date planned and now here he was waiting for her to show. He just hoped that she did show up so that all of his hard work was not for nothing. The healer sighed and waited patiently for his date to arrive. |

| One would think that Mackenzie could dread nothing more than she dreaded this final encounter with Salem Richards. This was not a true statement. The one thing that she dreaded more than a date against her will was trying to plan an outfit for a date she knew nothing about. Salem had said to dress formally, she did know that much. The problem with the word formal, was that with it came many variations. The young woman wanted to look nice, but she didn't know how nice she wanted to look.
After a very long while of ruffling through her closet, trying to find something that would work for a mystery-date, Mackenzie finally agreed on a mint green dress that fell just above her knees. This dress was one of her favourites because of the black floral pattern that flowed around the piece. Salem did not deserve her best dress, but Mackenzie found that nice clothes had the ability to make the worst days better.
On the bright side of this dark day, Mackenzie had only been slightly late for work. As soon as she'd gotten into the Daily Prophet office, her voice darted into a million directions as she tried to explain what had happened to cause her lateness. She'd done an okay job at explaining how she was held hostage in a teashop by some crazed playboy and honestly, she wasnt sure if her boss shrugged it off due to pity or the hilarity of the event.
Once she'd gotten over her dress fiasco, she made her way to the location enclosed within the letter that was brought to her by an owl. When she arrived, she noticed the man standing patiently.
"Alright, Richards," she took a deep sigh. "What do you have planned?" |

| He waited patiently and when he saw Mackenzie come to the location, his jaw completely dropped. He wasn't expecting her to look this stunning. She was a beauty and anyone with eyes could see that much. Salem finally picked his jaw up from the ground and took off his tie. "I must put this over your eyes so you do not see where we are going" he said as he tied his tie over her eyes and grabbed her hand to lead the way of where he was taking her. "You look absolutely breath taking in that dress I must admit" Salem complimented her. He meant it in utter respect in case she ever wondered. They continued to walk down the clear path and when they got to the spot of where he had set up their date all damn day since he cornered her into a date. This was what he came up with, being a man with no mother figure in his life anymore, he decided that he would treat a lady with the finest. He didn't understand why he still continued to try but he did and he hoped that Mackenzie liked it. |

| Despite her feelings of hatred and doubt towards the man, Mackenzie couldn't help but think about how well Salem cleaned up. He wore a nice black suit that she figured outlined everything he wanted it to and nothing that he didn't. In all honesty, he was a handsome man. Handsome just wasn't the only thing that mattered.
"I must put this over your eyes so you do not see where we are going"
"Is this some kind of a jo-?" She began, before remembering that she'd agreed to be civil for the one night. Reluctantly, she accepted the blindfold being placed over her eyes. Mackenzie hated the feeling of being lead through the woods without any choice in the matter. She enjoyed being in control of her life and being so helpless felt as if it would slowly drive her insane.
She lended the man a faint smile when he complimented her dress. She hadn't expected anything less from the garment. It was a beautiful piece of clothing.
When she felt that they had stopped, she decided it was time for her to regain control of her surroundings. "This trust excersize or whatever has been fun and all," she told him. "But may I remove this fabric from its current home atop my face?" |

| Mackenzie was definitely a feisty one and he liked that about her. She was someone that could challenge him. Wait! What?! 'No Salem! You do not have time for a girlfriend. Screw her and move on to the next. You don't need her, she will only bring you down'. Salem shook the thought from his head and focused on taking her to the place he had everything planned out for their date. He just hoped she would agree to his terms and not be hostile towards him. He wanted a nice evening where he got to know her better before he got into her pants so he could stop thinking about her.
When she asked if she could take off the blind fold, he stood off to the side so he could see her reaction. He hoped he did good, this was his first date ever so planning this was definitely hard for him and he just hoped he did okay. "Yes you can" Salem simply said to her. He waited to see the reaction on her face. It was either going to be a disappointed look or a happy look, he was hoping for the ladder. |
