Hathor was born as the second child of the Valois family, having an older brother by three years, Frederic. Named after the Egyptian Goddess of love, because her mother was very fond of the Egyptian History, Hathor didn't just inherit the name, but also the good looks. And that is what she became later on her life. The Goddess of love everyone wanted her to be.
Frederic and Hathor had grown very close since the very first years of her existence, even though they didn't get the chance to spend much time together. Hathor, knowing that Frederic was the heir of the Valois family, and would carry their name, respected and looked up to him, but rarely had the chance to talk to him about that, or express her feelings to him.
Growing up just like every other Pureblood girl, Hathor learned the arts of seduction but also how to stand, how to speak, how to behave, and anything else acquired to make her family proud. Leaving Frederic to deal with politics and business, Hathor was made, from an early age, into a seductress. She would catch the attention of the people she wanted, and she would easily persuade them into doing anything she liked. Something that helped Frederic expand their business later on.
Being prepared beforehand, Hathor was not surprised when her letter from Hogwarts arrived. Frederic had already been a student there, and the hat, as he said, had placed him into the Slytherin house. Their father was very proud of his only son, and slowly drifted away from Hathor, solely focusing on Frederic, while her mother was there to support the young witch.
The Hogwarts Sorting though, had been a nightmare for the brunette. As soon as the hat was placed on her head, the debating started, and the young girl was becoming more and more frustrated about it. Seeing many Slytherin qualities, the hat was ready to place her into Slytherin, but it stopped right before it made that decision. And Hathor was instead placed into Gryffindor, after the hat noted that her future would be brighter in that house.
The look she received from Frederic though was enough to make her understand that it wasn't what the family expected.
Thankfully, things weren't so bad, even if she were sorted in a house different from her brother's. Her father had voiced his disapproval in a letter, but her mother's owl followed right after, telling her that all was going to be just fine, and that she wouldn't have to worry. "Gryffindor is a proud house," she was told. "Make it your house."
And so she did.
So red and gold were the colors that Hathor was dressed in for the next seven years, and she became a lion. She became
the lion Gryffindor needed. Even in a house with so many bold personalities, Hathor could still stand out from the crowd, and that was what made her father notice her worth once again. And at the age if sixteen, Hathor was once again the seductress they wanted her to be, and her father was putting her skills to use.
Graduating from Hogwarts, Hathor was already of age, and her father was searching for the appropriate suitor. Frederic, knowing that their father would practically throw her into the wolves with anyone, offered to take care of her marriage arrangements. Francis, after a small argument finally gave in, and Hathor was free of marriage for some time, since Frederic was in charge of it.
But it didn't mean that she had much of a choice in this.
Almost 5 years later, Hathor has been living her life the way she wants. Almost. But the marriage subject is still being forced upon her, and now, she has no way out of it.

Francis and Antoinette were married at a very young age, a couple of years after they Graduated form Hogwarts. It was not love, not in the beginning at least, since the marriage was obviously arranged, meaning that neither had a say in this. Francis knew Antoinette from their years at Hogwarts, and Antoinette respected him for both, his name and person.
Neither had a problem with that marriage, and even though in the beginning it was all about duty and nothing more, since there were no feelings involved, but as the time went by, and Antoinette got pregnant with their first child, Frederic, feelings started to develop. And as soon as the heir of the family was born, those feelings were stabilized.
A few years later, another child was conceived, and nine months later, the female, and also the last child of the family was born, Hathor. The family was now completed.
