Max had been on his way down to the Bowtruckle tree when he had seen another person in the Forest. Since the attack next to nobody came down in to the Forest for the simple reason that they were quite scared of the unknown. Max wasn't, or rather, he didn't really think of it that way. The Forest was an adventure, full of magical creatures, and nothing would keep him away from going to see Buckle that day.
So, with Freddo in tow, Max had slipped in to the Forest. But now that there was someone else around, his cat had decided to hurry off, and go to the other boy. Max didn't know the boy, but he followed Freddo, a smile on his lips.
"Hey!" Max greeted the boy with little and less worry. "What brings you to the Forest?" He added, because he knew that they weren't really supposed to be here, but Max and rules had never really worked. Not that the Gryffindor sought to break rules, it just seemed to happen... quite often.
