| It was the weekend, which meant Finley was in Flourish & Blotts working to afford his university tuition. His second year of his Dragonology Degree was fast approaching, and he was feeling a little anxious. He had only one more year and he would be in the wider world, deemed a 'proper' adult. With a job working with some of the most beautiful creatures in the world.
Finley would have to find himself a new place to live, whether here in the UK, or otherwise in Romania, close to the dragons. The only problem would be the fact that he couldn't speak Romanian, and the change in culture would be quite the clash. He could learn, though, Finley supposed, he was never opposed to learning something new.
But, the biggest worry, he realised as he stacked the shelves with some new books on Potioneering, would be how he was going to approach the next step with Isaline. They'd been dating now for three years. Four years by the time they finished University, and Finley still didn't know what her long term plans for them both were, through his own lack of asking.
He shook his head at himself, lifting another book in to place and checking the display looked good. Working in a bookshop was like heaven for Finley, but as much as he loved the books around him, he could never work here full time. Books would lose their special feeling to him.
Moving along the aisle, Finley took in the spaces where books had been taken, and made a note on his pad to go and find the new stock. Looking around, the shop was quite quiet, uncharacteristically so, but that made his life much easier. Going back to perusing the shelves, Finley looked through the non-fiction section, trying to decide if there was a book he might like to read. |

| Brie entered the book store Flourish & Blotts, her boss wanted her to go there to find a book for him and gave her the money for it. She didn't understand why a bar needed a book for a bar. It's a bar for a reason! She shook her head and looked at the name of the book and then tried finding it in the store. There were a lot of books here and it brought Brie back to when she was a student in Hogwarts and getting her books here with her parents and sister. She missed her parents but would never fully admit it. She missed the hot chocolate with whip cream and cinnamon on top that her mother made her when she was angry which was almost always because she was a troubled girl growing up and still kind of was but was also mature that the same time. Her father used to teach her potions so she could succeed in school.
She was taken from her thought when she couldn't find the book her boss needed. She groaned but it sounded more like a growl and she went looking for a worker. She really hated her boss right about now, sending her to this place to look for a damn book. When she found a worker she walked up to him with a bored expression on her face. "Excuse me? I'm looking for a book on potions that can go in liquor of the sort or new liquor recipes. My boss sent me here for this book and his handwriting is hard to read " she said as she showed the worker the paper. |

| Hearing the words 'excuse me' made Finley look up from the books he was looking at to find a young woman looking to him for help. A small, nervous smile touched Finley's lips -- although his confidence had blossomed exponentially during his years at University, new people always made him slightly nervous to begin with.
Especially when they were women. Women held more power than he could ever fathom.
Taking the note from the witch, Finley quickly read over the words, before smiling at the lady before him. "If you'd like to follow me, I can s-show you." Finley told the witch, waiting for a moment before leading her round to the Potions section, and then, more specifically, the section that branched in to cocktail books. It took Finley but a few moments to locate the book that had been written down for her to find.
"You might want to look through this section, too. There's m-more books on that kind of thing." Finley explained, motioning to the books and hoping he'd not pushed her in to something she didn't want to do. After all, one book was never enough for a good research on new topics. |

| Brie waited until he realized she was talking to him and she waited. When he began to stutter she thought it was funny. He looked nervous as hell because she assumed it was because of the fact she was a woman. Yeah a woman even though she was only 20 years of age. Just one more number and she'll be able to drink, which she was kind of excited for but she drank at home when her sister wasn't around, she didn't want the judgemental stares. She mentally rolled her eyes and followed the worker to what she needed. She was pissed she hasn't come here but oh well.
She nodded her head in thanks and found the book she needed and turned back to the guy. "Can you ring me out?" She asked, all she wanted was to get out of her and go back to work but if there was any change left her ass was definitely keeping it. Her heels clanked on the floor as she went to the register to be checked out. |

| When the witch said she just wanted to be rung out, Finley got a clear idea of the kind of witch she was. Not a reader, in Finley's mind, that was a shame, so many people did not appreciate literature, despite the awe it could inspire in many people, but, he knew books weren't for everyone.
Instead, the boy nodded. "Sure..." He said softly, moving to the cash register to put through the sale. Checking that he'd got the right title, Finley packaged it up for the witch -- after all, you didn't want a book to become damaged in it's travels -- Finley looked to the witch.
"That'll be seven Galleons, please." He said, waiting for the money to be handed over from the witch before him. "Unless... you're sure you don't need anything else?" Finley asked once more, making sure his customer was more than satisfied with the service she received. |

| For some reason he looked a little disappointed but she didn't understand why though, she really didn't care either, all she wanted to do was be done with her shift so she could go home and relax, although she knew that wouldn't happen since she took a double shift just so she could get the extra cash, she didn't want a second job but she knew if she didn't keep up the work she was doing she'd never get a raise but she knew that her sister would. Again.
When he told her the price she realized that she did have enough for the book and would still have change left over, she was definitely keeping it. When he asked if she wanted anything else she thought about it for a minute, she didn't really know to be honest but she shrugged. "No thanks that will be all, it's for my boss anyway" she said as she gave him the money plus a little extra. Instead of seven she gave him twelve and she still had extra which was good for her. |
