[In this section, please don’t just write one or two words. Explain their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, positive & negative traits in detail wherever possible; this is for people to get a decent idea of who your character is and what they are like, so please don’t just randomly list things. Also, three is the minimum, please don't be afraid to list more, there will never be limitations to detail on this site!]
Likes: (3 minimum)
-Animals...creatures…..beasts….whatever term you find appropriate. She especially loves Mooncalfs and unicorns. They’re just the cutest, most interesting creatures, aren’t they?
-People watching. People are almost
almost as fascinating as animals. Almost.
-Eating.
- Potions, Care of magical creatures and Defense against the dark arts.
- Secretly admiring boys
Dislikes: (3 minimum)
- Mushrooms. They are literally the worst. Marley isn’t a picky eater, by any means...but mushrooms? Blegh!
- PDA - Public Displays of Affection. Again, blegh! Marley is known for telling others to get a room if they get a little too “handsy” in the great hall or out about in the castle.
- Divination, Marley thinks this is all a crock of nonsense.
- Money - or rather, what money does to people who have it.
- Liars
Strengths: (3 minimum)
- Marley is extremely calm and cool in stressful situations. She’s good at being the “peacekeeper” so to speak. She’s able to stay unbiased in most situations and help resolves situations without much conflict.
-She’s gorgeous and she knows how to use it. She can turn on the charm in an instant if she needs to.
- Unrelenting energy. She doesn’t need the magical qualities of caffeine to get her going for the day. She’s always full of energy naturally.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
- Marley is a terrible, horrible liar. She couldn’t tell a good lie if her life depended on it...hopefully it never does!
- Extreme fear of the forbidden forest, which is a real shame because that’s where many of the beloved creatures, which Marley is so fascinated with, live! She has a constant inner struggle with herself to work up the courage to enter on her own will.
- Marley has a memory like a goldfish. You might be lucky if she remembers what she had for breakfast, let alone what you told her 4 days ago.
- Doesn’t trust others easily.
Positive traits: (3 minimum)
- Friendly, caring
- Patient
- Can play devil’s advocate on almost any subject
Negative traits: (3 minimum)
-Shy
- Horrible at keeping secrets
-Doesn’t have strong opinions towards things - she can easily see both sides of a situation so she has a hard time “picking sides”.
[Please write at least 2 detailed paragraphs of your character's general history. This can entail anything from their upbringing, school years and their present. The paragraphs don’t have to be long, but they do need to include details, so that people can get to know your character more.]
Marley was raised in Cambridge with all the smart, rich kids the world drew in. Her family did come from money but you would never know just by looking at her. She despised the way the people of Cambridge acted, their noses pressed permanently up in the air so they could look down on everyone the spoke with, the awful gossip and rumors that touched their lips and ruined lives, the horrible way they treated those that were viewed as “less than” because of how much money they had in the bank.
Marley’s family had money, but they taught their daughter respect. They taught her the importance of friendship and life without the stigma of money and power. From those lessons, Marley learned not to bring up the fact that she was wealthy. She was actually ashamed of her wealth and would quickly change the subject if the topic went there. From this, Marley was able to build some real, meaningful friendships - she thought. Marley had been best friends with a girl, Summer Chastings back home. They were friends for 2 years and they did
everything together. Summer knew about the money, it wasn’t a huge secret especially since Summer had met her parents and been to her house.
One morning after having Summer spend the night, she woke to find her house in shambles. She’s still not sure how she slept through the whole thing, she can only assume Summer had drugged her somehow. She left her room to find the house in disarray. Broken picture frames on the floor her mother’s favorite glass table shattered to pieces and the sofa was upside down on the wrong side of the room. Behind it, lay her dead Mother. Next to her, her Father was barely clinging to life. Summer (and possibly some accomplices, so the police said) had taken anything of value from the home including breaking into the floor safe in her parent’s bedroom and taking all the cash from it.
Her father had survived the horrible events but their life was never the same again. Marley developed a strong sense of distrust towards almost everyone.

[Please write at least one paragraph on your character's family history. This can include details about how their parents met, their views on the world, their money status, and any other things you find necessary. In situations where characters are orphans, you can write how this came about, be it death of parents or whatever other reasons. Keep in mind that this is to shape your character more, since family has a huge impact on who one is.]
Jonathan and Sheryl met in their early 20s. Sheryl was fresh out of law school and brand new at the law firm. The first case she assisted on was representing Jonathan as defense on a charge of Improper Use of Fireworks. Of course, Jonathan hadn’t really been using fireworks, he had accidentally shot of sparks in a surge of excitement. His neighbors saw and called it in. Jonathan hadn’t really been worried about the muggle charges (he was more worried about the charges from the Ministry) and had been ready to pay off his neighbor to simply drop them until he had seen Sheryl. It was history from there.
Jonathan had come from a family with decent money. His parents too had worked for the ministry so he often took it for granted. When he met Sheryl, she set him in his place.
