| London, as usual, was bustling with nightlife as Michelle appeared in one of the many back alleys in London, brushing off the dust from her dress before she slipped out of there and moved towards her job-place.
Working at a Muggle Nightclub was certainly an experience and Michelle loved it; it was different and it was something that her mother would've, quite probably, condemned her for but she didn't care. She was twenty-four now and working at a place that appreciated her more than her own family did, not counting her father or eldest brother, who literally had urged her to do what she wanted to.
Nodding her head to the bouncer, she flashed her ID card at the man before she moved past the long line of customers to be let inside the club. It wasn't time for it to open yet, still another fifteen minutes, but Michelle, being one of the hostesses had to be there early to get ready to serve the customers.
Making her way to the locker room, she put her bag and jacket away in the locker and making sure that her wand was safely hidden away on her thigh holster, she made her way back out to the bar where she slipped behind the counter and after nodding her head to her fellow hostesses she waited for the doors to open and the customers to pour in.
It would be another long night and hopefully, it would be without any fuss like every other night was. |

| Dressed in a cropped top with tight, blood red, leather shorts resting on her hips, and her makeup done, Lux was ready to party the night away.
It was the term holidays for uni and Lux needed some relief. Uni was great and all, but ever since the media got wind of her adoption, things had been crazy. There was an added pressure to perform well in her studies, and though Lux had never been a poor student, it did put a lid on the amount of manipulation and rule-breaking she could do. She was always reminded that whatever she did reflected on her parents, and though she'd never admit it, she'd rather let her reputation as Evil Queen die rather than cast a bad light on the people who had been nothing but kind and loving towards her.
But a whole semester of playing nice had Lux at her wits end and she'd taken the opportunity of the break to get away from the identity as the Minister of Magic's daughter. There was only one place to go to - the Muggle side of London. Muggles would have no idea who she was and she could just be Lux Bailey again.
She had no problem getting through the doors and headed straight for the bar once she was in. The loud music had her heart thumping in time to the bass as she squeezed through the people crowding the dance floor. Reaching the bar in one piece, she placed her order. "One zombie cocktail, please." She could've gone for the Long Island Ice Tea but preferred the fruity taste of the zombie. The alcohol would help her loosen up and soon, she'd been dancing the night away. |

| The nightclub was literally brimming with people either dancing, chatting, drinking or doing all three at the same time; it was a scene that many pureblood's would've probably balked at and turned their nose up, some half-blood's would've probably done the same.
Michelle though was already used to the scene of half-naked bodies literally moving against each other; she was used to watching people dance as if they were having sex on the dance floor. It was quite fascinating watching how they moved and behaved when inebriated or even out of their natural habitat.
Most people that came to the nightclub were regulars, people whom Michelle knew of already, at least by face if not name; there weren't many newbies but if there were the French witch took the time to get to know her latest customers, finding out what made them tick and if they were magical or not.
One of the newer faces was a rather beautiful female, clearly the woman was frustrated, or at least tired of her face showed those two emotions clearly and her feelings were literally pouring through to Michelle without the blond having to do any readings on her.
"One zombie cocktail coming up." The hostess said with a smile as she started the process of getting the cocktail for the woman; as she went through the preparation process, the witch tried feeling out whether her newest customer was a Muggle or magical. "Hard day at work?" |

| This particular nightclub seemed popular and there had been a reason Lux chose that when she googled "Nightclubs in London". Her sole purpose was to lose her identity in a crowd, to not have anyone recognise her. She loved her parents dearly - something she never thought she'd be capable of - and wouldn't exchange them for the world, but there were times she wished she was still the unknown orphan, who nobody truly knew about and everybody feared.
She'd had great fun terrorising the students when she was at Hogwarts. Everybody knew to stay out of her way and do exactly as she said. One look would send them scampering away with their tails between their butts. She could do whatever she liked to whomever she chose. As the daughter of the Minister for Magic, she could no longer behave in that manner.
And so when the bartender posed a question to her, Lux had a few ways to answer. She could just nod it off vaguely and say nothing, or she could say something along the lines of having a hard semester at Uni. The latter option had the risk of the woman asking her which Uni she attended and since this was a Muggle nightclub, Lux couldn't very well talk about magic. She'd have to about the name of her university and her major and everything else.
While she was an expert liar and could keep track of all her lies, enabling her to carry them on for quite a bit without people finding a loophole in the web she spun, she wasn't in the mood for socialising or any sort of getting-to-know-you game the woman was trying to play. And so she just nodded, her eyes glancing at the name tag to discover that she was talking to a "Michelle".
She was actually rather surprised that Michelle hadn't asked for any identification. She'd ordered a drink very high in alcohol content and most of the time when she ordered it, she was asked for some sort of identification. But if Michelle wasn't going to give her any problems, so much the better. Either way, Lux was prepared. |
