Jacques smiled as Adam agreed, a thank you even though it was not spoken. Whether the Englishman was denoting it was not his choice because he couldn't deny the Clement heir, or whether he meant that he was leaving the choice to his wife, Jacques could not be sure. Secretly, though, he hoped it was the latter. Women, Jacques knew, were very powerful creatures. And though the world might see the Clements moving forward under the iron fist of his father, Jacques knew that the Lord Clement rarely made a decision without consulting his wife.
Jacques, though, worried no further than that as he took the witch's hand when she accepted and led her to the dance floor. Eyes followed them both, but Jacques revelled in that feeling, taking up the relevant hold for the dance and waiting for the song to start up before he moved gracefully with the witch in his arms. It was easy, second nature, they had been doing this since they were very small, and the steps were merely a background as Cristina posed the question of his university studies.
"The University of Excelled Withcraft and Wizardry is okay, I cannot fault it, but I wouldn't suggest to anyone that it is remarkable in any way." Jacques replied honestly. "As with most things coming from the United Kingdom, the school lacks its own finesse." He explained, pausing for a moment to see if the witch would smile at the option of including her fiance in that much. Of course, Jacques was not here to ridicule the less fortunate males in the room, but some women... some women liked a light joke. And, if Cristina didn't like such things, the comment could merely be taken as the British were not so good at manufacturing, or something else she chose.
"For instance, if you look at Beauxbatons, the grace, the charm, the beauty that comes from the school is second to none. I was unfortunate not to have appeared at the school, but I know I made the best of Hogwarts that I could. Then, you have Durmstrang, powerful, strong, rough around the edges, but you know what you're getting when you go there. The Brits..." Jacques made a small face that said they were lacking in giving something when it came to schools.
"The university is much the same. But, I am doing very well in my degree, so I doubt it will matter if the school is not as interesting as others." Jacques finally settled upon.
"And you, madamoiselle, will you be studying further?" Jacques asked, casting a look to Adam as they past before his attention returned to the witch before her. "It would be a shame if you were not to go if you so wished."
