| June 2024 The return to Murray Manor had been under much duress. The medical team of the Lady Murray could not place their finger upon why mimosas were triggering such a reaction for his most precious flowers. No one could find a link between Azalea and the mimosas that brought on such a reaction in her body, her mind.
Everyone had tried, too.
But to no avail.
As the end of June came in to being, Josh removed every trace of mimosas from the manor. The episodes in which his Azalea was conscious brought tears to her eyes that Josh would no longer allow to fall down her perfectly shaped cheeks. He would not allow her heart rate to rocket up like it did when the flowers, or the mention of mimosas was raised. Higher blood pressure was not healthy, Josh knew that much, and with their child's health reliant on the mother's, Josh denied any further tests being made on his Azalea's health.
Which meant they had met the metaphorical brick wall in the work. Time, Josh knew, had run out for them to find the answer to his Azalea's problem. Time had, selfishly, denied him the opportunity of finding the cure his Azalea needed, the prompt his Azalea needed to bring her permanently back in to the world of the living.
Back to a world where she could be the mother their child would need.
The decision had not been easy, how could it be when it meant such drastic actions had to be taken to ensure the health of both the mother of his child, and their unborn child? But Josh had known without a shadow of a doubt that there was simply no other way in which he would be successful in keeping both of them alive. If he could not bring his Azalea back...
He shook his head slightly as his eyes lifted from the canvas before him to the seated figure of his Azalea looking out across the grounds of their estate that had been warmed by the summer sun. Her eyes were raised up towards the sky, as usual, Darr sat by her feet, protecting her from the world. One of her hands sat protectively upon the swollen stomach, as if she understood the magnitude of the situation they were heading in to.
Josh knew better than to believe this was anything more than a practised action that had been taught to his Azalea, but he had had to capture it in it's beauty. He had learned many years ago that his Azalea did not think herself as remarkable as the works of art he had produced for her, but Josh had no inclination of showing this picture to her. This was his own portrait, capturing the beautiful moment in it's entirety, for an eternity.
His Azalea, and his heir.
Because time waited for no man.
And time would not wait for Joshua Murray.________________________________________________~ Profile ~ Signature by the amazing Jess! <3 | |
