Since her mother lives in India for business, she’s been forced to follow the Indian tradition and wear the garments that they do. But, when she’s in Dublin with her dad for the two months of the summer, she can wear whatever the hell she wants. Since she’s nearly of age, she’s been trying to knock some since into her mother to tell her that she doesn’t need to wear what they wear because, they aren’t Indian for one, and for the second, she thinks the garments make her look like 10 times her actual size.

Effie’s half-blood mother Tiffany, and pure blooded father Brian met when they were just eleven years old the summer before both were going off to Hogwarts. Instantly, because they had their magical abilities in common, they became best friends. Tiffany was daughter to Rosa and Matthew Banks, and Brian was the son of Brian Theodore Tyler the third, and Martha Holliday. Brian the Third, and Martha had been Slytherin’s, and same with Rosa, who was Tiffany’s mother. So naturally, it was a given that the two children would be put in Slytherin.
As they were. Throughout the years, Tiffany and Brian grew super close. By their fourth year they had started dating. When they were fifth years, they were the Slytherin Prefects, and by their seventh years, they were head boy and girl. Growing up, Tiff and Brian were trouble makers. Yet, with their stability in the system, they were able to get away with most of the things they did and get out of punishment. Which worked in their favor.
When Tiffany and Brian graduated, they managed to pull the best senior prank ever. They had gotten the head master’s office password, and decorated it with silly string, and streamers and other party favors. They had then managed to make every single desk in the school disappear. They went down in history. Brian then, after they left that summer proposed to Tiffany. They waited two years so they could save, and Brian got a stable job at Gringotts, and Tiffany made it through healing school, and got a job as a full time healer at St. Mungo’s. When both felt they were financially ready to take the next step, they had set a date for their wedding. July 29th. Which happened to be the very day they met when they were just eleven years old.
A year after they were married, Tiffany and Brian gave birth to a beautiful baby girl whom they named Effie. Effie grew up a happy girl. She was an only child, so she was pretty spoiled. Around the time she was 3, Rosa came to live with them and was nearly deaf. So Effie, who was quiet shy to begin with, had to learn to speak up. So she developed a loud personality by the time she was five. When she was six, Rosa had passed away. Which made her sad because as sad as it was, Rosa was her best friend.
And the one person she could look up too. Out of anger, she had ignited a candle, and the flame caught on the curtain. She didn’t say anything, and just walked outside. Her parents were home, and died in the fire. It was ruled an accident. Effie was sent to live with her other grandparents, Brian the Third and Martha. They spoiled her rotten, feeling bad for her as her parents and their son had died. They fed her a lot, and gave her no rules. They were almost relieved when at age 11, she received her Hogwarts letter.
Through her first years at Hogwarts, Effie built up a bad reputation. She started off by pushing kids around, and making them think that she was the boss. But as she grew older, she realized that she could become a better person like her parents would want her to be. So the summer between her fourth and fifth year, she completely changed. She grew to be the voice of those who couldn’t stick up for themselves.
