- Animals; Since she was young, Josie has always had an animal of some sort during her childhood. Be it the next-door neighbour’s cat or the German Sheppard that her parents adopted from the kennel when she was six, there was always some sort of animal in her vicinity and her love for them grew, even more, when her grandparents finally let her run rampant around the farm that they lived on.
- Fire; Ever since she was young, Josie remembers that she kept setting all her toys and bedroom items on fire with her accidental magic. So much so that her room had to be fire-proofed in case her accidental magic sparked during the night. Now it just fascinates her to such a degree that fire-based spells just come naturally to her.
- Nightclubs; They give Josie a sense of freedom, a sense of anonymity within the crowds whenever she goes out. It gives her joy to just dance the night away, to flirt with a couple of guys or girls.
- Quidditch; Josie’s quidditch career started fairly early what with her parents being obsessed with the sport, just like muggles are obsessed with soccer and rugby. They got her, her first Quidditch Broom when she had been a toddler and she could remember just zooming about on it in the garden with her parents chasing her or the animals if they felt particularly playful that day. She got onto her schools Quidditch Team and after graduation joined the female league in America before finally moving to England to join the Holy-Head Harpies.
- Sex; It should be noted that Josie enjoys sex though it's not a frequent thing in her life - it's just an activity to her that she partakes in to get rid of stress from her training and matches. Usually, it'll be a one-night stand with a random bloke or gal from a club but she does have a few friends that she has a friends with benefits relationship with.

- Lies; Josie doesn’t have a reason as to why she dislikes lies, there is no particular event that made her dislike them. She just does and that’s that. She can also usually tell when someone is lying to her. People always have these little tells that she can spot and call out a liar.
- Chick-flick movies; No. Just no. Josie cannot and will not watch a chick-flick movie, even if it was the last film on earth that she could watch. It’s the way they are so out there, so ‘happily ever after’ that just makes her gag.
- Messiness; Josie cannot stand a messy room, whether it be her own or someone else's, she cannot stand the sight of it so she will go out of her way to clean it up or just get out of it.

- Self-Control; despite the age-old adage about red-heads being fiery-tempered, Josie has quite the self-control and her fuse is so long that one will find it hard to actually make her head in such a direction she will need to head into the danger zone
- Photographic Memory; Josie’s ability to retain information allowed her to graduate from Ilvermony with high marks.
- Silent Casting; Like most of her former classmates, Josie had mastered the ability to cast spells silently during her last year of Ilvermorny. Unlike most though, she had picked up very quickly on the ability and still continues to improve on it.

- Josie gets easily absorbed into whatever activity that she does and sometimes it could be fatal, like the one time that she had been focusing on her potion so much during class that it took her seat-mate to push her out of the way from theirs when it started hissing dangerously before it exploded.
- Food; Josie is a glutton for ood so if you get her some good food, chances are she’d do whatever you asked of her.
- Animals; Should Josie see an animal in need, she will drop what she is doing and help that animal. Sometimes she will adopt said animals. Currently, she has two cats and a Golden Labrador Puppy.
- Any cute looking girl or handsome guy will usually get Josie fumbling though she does quickly compose herself.

Josie was born late on the 4th of August to Vanessa and Marcus who had been eagerly awaiting her birth. She was brought up in a caring household with parents who were there for her every milestone. The first time she spoke? Vanessa got it on camera. The first time she walked on her own? Marcus filmed it for Vanessa who had been at work. Every single thing that Josie did, be it her first accidental magic, and that had been a nightmare and a half for her parents to deal with due to how explosive it was what with it having set her doll-house on fire but it still had been celebrated even if it had been scary, or the first time that she flew her toddler broom, her parents made sure to be there, despite their tight schedules at work.

Due to her parents’ tight schedule, they usually dropped her off at her grandparents’ farm, her mother’s parents, before they both went for work, where she was allowed to run around, splashing in the mud or rolling about in the grass with the dogs that her Nanna and Pappi had. She would usually pester them about all the animals but understood that until she was a bit older she wouldn’t be able to go any further than the backyard that had been fenced off for her alone. She would just sit on a bench and munch on the fruits and sandwiches that her Nanna made just before they started their day on the farm, either working with the animals or tending to the many plots of fruits and veg that they grew.

By the time her acceptance letter for Ilvermorny arrived, the family grew by one more member, her younger brother Lucas, who had been just as eagerly expected as Josie herself. She whined and pouted about going off to Ilvermorny just as Lucas had been born but that stopped as soon as the 1st of September arrived and Josie was on her way to Ilvermorny, getting to know her fellow first years and possible housemates.

When it came to sorting, Josie was surprised when two houses had picked her; Horned Serpent and Pukwudgie. Having the choice of the house, Josie chose to go with Horned Serpent as that had resonated stronger with her. Being at Ilvermorny and away from home for so many months led to some homesickness but mostly Josie just enjoyed her student experience.

She attended her classes, joined a DADA Club and then Quidditch in her fourth year where she joined the team as a Chaser and second Seeker in case of injury to her teammate. She made friends and enemies aplenty, went through several relationships and quite a handful of flings during her seven years there. As her mother told her before she started her first year, this was her one chance to spread her wings and figure out what she could do. And she did it and graduated Ilvermorny with the rest of her year with a large smile on her face and an invitation for the local female Quidditch team.

Upon graduation, Josie moved back home just for a while so that she could find her footing in the world but that while eventually turned into four years where she was mostly attending practices with her team and attending matches over the US.

When her four-year contract was up, Josie had the choice to either renew it or find another team to join and in true Josie fashion, she declined the renewing of the contract and decided to move across the pond to the UK. With good lucks and kisses, Josie departed from America and started her life in the UK, attending a try-out for the Hollyhead Harpies where she got on the team.

A year in and Josie is in love with the country and her team. She regularly makes calls home and did portkey over during her off-season but currently has no plans in moving back to the US, not even at the threat of being a defector. When the call to return to the US came, Josie had consulted her parents and they had given her their blessing to stay in the UK if that was what she wished for, they gave her their love and that had been the last she had talked with them.

Vanessa and Marcus met like many others, during their time at Ilvermorny. They were both in the same house though in separate years due to Marcus being older than Vanessa by two years. They started off as friends attending the same club and eventually they fell in love, to the joy of many of their peers who found themselves a couple of Galleons richer when those who didn’t think there was any chemistry between them agreed to a bet on how long it would take for them to get together.

Many suspected that they wouldn’t last beyond their years at school but surprising many, Marcus stayed faithful to Vanessa and every weekend that he could, he would show up to escort Vanessa around the village just outside of Ilvermorny or take her on a cheeky date at a pub not far away. During Vanessa’s graduation, Marcus showed up with a dozen white roses and a ring in hand and proposed to her just as she was about to get her certificate.

Of course, she said yes though she had nearly slapped him for doing it in front of so many witnesses. And to this day, even after so many years together they are just as in love as they were then. Probably even more so now.
