| Tabitha was not a fan of shopping, less so during the holidays simply because of how crowded the shops and streets became. However, she was determined to find the perfect Christmas present for her mother, and she knew there was a particular candy that her mother absolutely adored. It was a little pricey, but Tabby purposefully saved and set aside enough money for Christmas several months ago with the express purpose of purchasing that candy.
Of course, she couldn't only get the candy, that would hardly be practical. Maybe she'd find a cat that was part kneazle, they made fairly good companions and her mother was not a fan of dogs. Something that would last a bit longer than a few pieces of candy, at any rate. Most magical things were of little use to Agatha, and she usually preferred muggle items anyway.
With a weary sigh, Tabitha slid into a corner seat and ordered a firewhiskey. A glass of the strong liquor would hopefully loosen her tense muscles enough that she could shop without blowing a gasket. |

| With December came the fact that Jake had to return home. He didn't mind, no, he just found that he could never go home without gifts. Which, meant a short amount of stress trying to find something that his mom wouldn't already have, and that his dad might like. Victoria was easy, a book that had only just been released would make her explode with excitement, and some sweets made it perfect.
Jake had, finally, managed to find something that fit the criteria, and with a small sigh, stepped in to the busy pub. Moving to the bar, he ordered himself a pint of the Goblin ale that the pub boasted before moving to look for a seat. There was only booth that looked open, and though Jake could probably have stood at the bar, he did want to sit down.
So, without hesitation, he moved towards the booth with only one occupant. "Hey." Jake greeted the witch with a small smile, half hoping she wouldn't recognise him from the Quidditch magazines, but half hoping she did so she might be a little more welcoming. "Do you mind if I join you? Everywhere else is busy. I won't be any bother." He asked, and he meant it, he knew about privacy, and he didn't want to push anyone in to giving up their own. ________________________________________________~ Auror ~ Profile ~ DADA Professor ~ ~ In a Relationship ~ 36 ~ Father ~ 6' ~ American Accent ~ | |
