Cara felt lighter than she had in a while.

Today she was with Joubert shopping in Diagon Alley; he had gone to Hogwarts too, as a Ravenclaw. He had also told her that he needed some books for the orphanage children and gave her a hefty amount of money (really way too much, she was skeptical of how he was able to obtain so much money). He gave her specific instructions; buy any books that were whimsical and interesting, but none that had any magical abilities. Meaning no flying books, no books with pop-ups. Just make sure the books have interesting content. Content needed to be magical to be interesting, but did not need to have magical abilities basically. After giving her the money and the instructions, Joubert went off in search of other items; he needed to buy some Potions or something for the children in order for blah blah blah. She tuned him out then, kissed him on the cheek and headed off to Obscurus Books.

She was dressed like a Clement, but free to act like a Florelle. Her hair was up in a bun and she wore a yellow summer dress, but a white sweater top that ended mid-back for her. She also had on yellow and white detailed pumps that boosted her height from 4"8, and she held her head high enough to maybe even give her the appearance of being 5"0. Either way, when she dressed like this it was to make sure no one mistook her for an 8 year old, which they tended to because of her height and innocent looking face. Her face was free to look as childlike and amazed at all the books as she wanted to. So she wandered through the aisles lifting the books. She thought she'd found a perfect one on Dragon mythology only for it to spit fire towards her face; luckily her reflexes were fast enough for her to jerk backwards so it didn't burn her.

She let out a heavy sigh and looked to the person on her right with an amazed look.

"Do all the books do that?" She laughed a bit, "I can't believe I just narrowly avoided getting my eyebrows burnt clean off."

It was a few weeks after he had returned from Hogwarts. He was both glad and rather saddened by the fact. Though most of his time was spent on the computer, doing stuff he had missed while gone, the boy was surprised to see that he was actually missing doing magic. Perhaps the idiot pure blood guy has a point about magic... But Alberi still stood by what he had said at that time. No matter if he knew that he was right or wrong, he continued to stay on his side of the argument. He just couldn't be wrong. No, it would take a hell of a time and too much energy to even have him admit something such. For now only his mother tried to do it but with no luck. Arguments between the two became rather often.

That was one of the reasons why he was rather glad to be allowed in Diagon Alley for a week. Because his sister had been born shortly after he arrived, his home turned into a living hell. The girl would cry often, screaming for whatever. Alberi was sure he wasn't such as a child. His parents told him he was pretty quiet... Though he had a problem with wanting to put the pacifier in his mouth way too often. And crawling off to places. The boy doesn't remember anything but he had been told the tales. And this girl will pop his ear drums soon... Happily his parents noticed that it was turning hard so when he received his letter, he immediately to Diagon Alley, to stay there for a week until everything stabilises.

And now, here was his second day here. Yesterday he had bought only what he needed. He decided to look at other shops instead. Maybe he could find something interesting. After all, the Alley was big and had a lot of things to see. He tried to stay away if he could see people he knew or at least if they were around his age. That was just what he needed - to talk with complete strangers just because he was near to them in age. While staying away from a rather enthusiastic looking blonde, probably a first year, he noticed a shop. Obscurus? He hasn't heard of that place. Shrugging, he confidently walked up to it,hoping not to meet much kids there. Though the case wasn't such. With a sigh he began to walk around.

He quickly noticed that some books seemed to have some kind of spell on them. As kids opened them, different things happened, from a cloud of smoke blasting out to books who cried loudly. Great, that's just what he missed from back home... The yells of his sister... Doing the best to ignore the noise from the books and the laughing children, he continued down the aisle. While examining the books near him, he felt something warm next to him. Quickly turning to his left, he noticed a fire - breathing book and a girl with it. He rose his eyes when she talked to him. Alberi thought over what she said. He shook his head. “No, not all books. Well, I'm not sure for this shop....” He looked around and let out a weak smile. “I'm sure you wouldn't want that to happen. “ He stated. Alberi quickly examined her and supposed that she was about a year younger.

Caramarienne hadn’t intended to try and make any friends while she was in Diagon Alley, but she felt comforted that she wasn’t being snubbed. It wasn’t that Cara suffered any bullying; she suffered none from the most part her whole life. However there was always this unspoken feeling in the air like at any moment she was just going to fail. She was somewhat the black sheep of the family she was accepted into; adopted and the middle child. Her parents had died, her mother was somewhat crazy because instead of re-marrying another pureblood after her husband died she went nuts looking for her husband and Cara’s father. Her brother was disowned, and she was technically the only legitimate Florelle in the pureblood community. The Clement’s only looked like saints for taking her in; the poor Florelle baby who was going to grow up family-less? Not on their case.

She can recall the many articles that had been written claiming Adelisa and Louis amazing parents for accepting her into their family without any qualms; all praising the French royalty for taking on a Ward. She could never hate the Clement’s for what they’d done for her. It wasn’t their fault the society they were apart of saw her as a poor, lonely girl to a dead man and a crazy woman. She wouldn’t let it hold her back; showing she was weak would hurt the Clement’s reputation and she’d never allow that to happen at her hands.

Definitely wouldn’t want that to happen,” she mumbled before sticking her hand out with her head high, “Caramarienne Florelle, do you frequent book stores often? O-Or do you have any idea about where I might find good children books?” She added, stammering a bit when she realized she might be coming off a bit too proud.

Alberi examined the girl while she talked. She seemed different from most girls he had seen. He honestly couldn't understand girls at times. Scratch that, he couldn't understand people at all. No matter how many books over the psychology or the body language of people he read, he just couldn't get his mind to understand them... He didn't think the same way. He was a complete alien to everyone. Never liked by kids his age... At Hogwarts he hoped to find someone. He expected that they would be different like him. Instead he meet some people here or there and perhaps even made an enemy. Not that he cared! He always had been alone, away from the others... Used to being alone... Not needing some friend, someone who would probably betray him at the end. The boy had read enough books to know that...

Alberi pinched himself. He couldn't drift out in thought. After all, you don't drift into your mind in conversations. At least his mind was quick. He managed to hear her last question. It was more her stammer that reminded him to listen to her. It seemed out of place from the confident girl who had her head high moments ago. Or the girl who joked even before that. Well, it probably meant she was insecure for something. Or just hiding. He didn't seem to notice anyone who could be her parents around... Then again, he also wasn't with his own. But judging by her clothes, they were nice, definitely for someone on the high steps... So they wouldn't just leave her... Oh, who was he to be interested. The boy had his own problems. Screaming, drooling, crying problems.

He took the handed out hand, looking straight in her eyes and even had a small nod. “Alberi Woodston.” He said and let go and of her hand, as he wasn't a fan of them. Or of people touching him, really. He didn't even allow his own mother to hug him, except on special occasions. “And I don't really know, truth to be told. I guess you could try with Flourish and Blotts, when I was there before, there weren't deadly books. Hopefully I'm not wrong.” though he was joking, he spoke it so calmly that on couldn't be sure. “Is this your first time at Diagon Alley, then? I don't think I've seen you at Hogwarts School?” He said, more in the form of a question.
