Hailey flashed back to a time when she was young innocent, and completely oblivious to the people around her. She remembered what it was like to not care about what other people thought of her. She missed the sweet and innocently annoying little girl she used to be. But that was not who she was anymore. Hailey was the exact opposite.
Now, Hailey would describe herself as mean. She knew how to stand up for herself, as proved everyday when she fought with Bennett. Would she say he was her best friend? She didn't know. She wasn't even sure why she hung out with him in the first place. He just frustrated her to know end. But she liked their arguments to say the least. Hailey smiled at her reflection as she left the common room. It was a lovely Saturday, and Hailey was planning on going to "do some homework" at the black lake.
When she said "do homework" she sometimes didn't always do homework. She usually got distracted when somebody like Benny came up to her. When she got to the lake, she plopped herself down, and spread out her books. And low and behold, she looked up and there was Benny. She rolled her eyes but smiled. She didn't know what to think of the kid who had shattered her entire innocence, and beliefs. But there he was.
