[Russia] A Lonesome Holiday (Severine)

After spending a few days with a distant relative in London, Anya had reluctantly decided that it would be best for her to return to Russia for the rest of the holiday. She had enjoyed staying in her aunt's flat and it was a shame that she had to leave. The woman was an artist, so the space was covered in paintings and sketches. The tan carpet was coated in spots of oils and acrylics. It felt like more of a home than her house.

The only issue with the arrangement had been the fact that her father hadn't known. Her aunt was from her mother's side. When Viktor realized that Anya had spent time with a relative of the woman who left him, he insisted that the daughter whom he hadn't cared about otherwise return home at once.

Not much to Anya's surprise, her father was not home when she arrived. Her house was nothing special. It was a two floor, wooden building with two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. There were a few spare rooms, but those were cluttered with boxes labeled 'Elizabeth's:DO NOT OPEN.' The house was always quiet, except for the sound of Anya breathing.

Soon after she arrived, she had found a place on the small black leather couch, curled up with whatever book she was reading that week. Ten pages in, there was a knock on the door.

Severine was used to family vacations during the summer and because of this, she had traveled most of the world. This particular summer, she was in Russia and Merlin was it interesting. The architecture was something she admired and despite it being summer, the weather was quite cool which was something Severine was not used to. She was thankful for having grabbed her mink coat before leaving the suite or she'd be frozen by this point.

Her summer, other than Russia, had been pretty slow. Alexande had graduated from Beauxbaxtons which resulted in a party and other things of the sort before finally, their parents began the process of marrying him off. It likely wouldn't happen for a few years, but now was the time when the elder Charlots began looking to see who was worthy of Alexande. It was something Severine was both looking forward to and dreading because she was bound to find some quality that she hated about them.

Severine was tired of lounging around with her siblings and her parents had once again gone off on some "business" so Severine decided to go for a walk and then she remembered Anastasiya lived here. After a bit of prowling, she figured out the girl's address and headed there. The walk was short and before long, Severine found herself knocking on a strange door in a strange country wondering why she was chasing this non-Pureblooded follower so hard.

Oddly confused, Anya made her way to the door. She hadn't a clue who could be knocking at this hour, or at any hour. She did not have any friends that she had kept in touch with in Russia, and on the rare occasion in which her father would come home, the man would not have knocked. he would have walked right on in; it was his home, after all...even if he was never there. When she opened the door, she was shocked to see the prim, proper blonde Severine Charlot standing outside of the door.

"Sev?" She asked, unsure if she was actually there or not. "What?" She couldn't manage a full sentence at the moment. Perhaps the reason that Anya was so bad at conversation was the fact that she hardly ever spoke while at home.

"Come in," she spoke softly, motioning to the living room behind her.

Severine often didn't drop by people's houses, in fact she never dropped by anyone's house unless they were Pureblood and they were having a party, however Russia was proving itself to be slightly boring and Severine wasn't the type to handle boring vacations well. The girl stood in the cold for quite a few minutes and Severine wondered if the girl would ever let her in. She found herself rolling her eyes and about to walk away from the doorstep when the door opened and Anastasiya's big head popped out.

Severine did however roll her eyes when the girl used the bloody nickname she had given herself. "Yes, yes it's me and I'm freezing so are you going to let me in?" The blonde questioned, her hands on her hips, clearly knowing that the poor little friendless girl couldn't resist the only "friend" she had.

"That's what I thought," Severine smirked as the girl invited her in. She grimaced internally at the place. Was this what average people lived in? Severine couldn't live in anything less than spectacular and suddenly, she wished she would've stayed in the suite. "Your country is boring," the girl said turning to the brunette.
