Two for tea (Open) Empty
PostSubject: Two for tea (Open)   Two for tea (Open) EmptySat Apr 23, 2016 6:00 pm

It was a particularly nice day. The sun was shining and the sky was a very nice shade of baby blue, with whispy white clouds skattered throughout. The temperature was warm, but not too warm. It was what Mackenzie liked to call "skirt weather." One could not wear a skirt in any other weather without being miserable. If it was too humid, a person's thighs would stick together as they walked. If it was snowing, her legs would freeze. Nice days like today were perfect for skirt-wearing. On this day, Mackenzie was sporting a black skirt with deep red roses all over it. Paired with this was a plain black tank top and a dark red cardigan.

Her black strappy heels tapped against the road as she walked along Diagon Alley, making her way to the Rosa Lee Teabag. The best way to spend this nice day was at a teashop. Tea seemed like a winter drink to most, but to Mackenzie, it was a year-round drink. She kept her small apartment stocked with different kinds of tea, but she preferred coming to the Rosa Lee Teabag, because it always seemed to be too watery whenever she made it.

As she walked into the shoppe, the young woman ordered black tea with a side of lemon. Black tea was classy, yet impressionable. It was the perfect tea for someone who wanted to try out different ways of drinking tea. Mackenzie took her tea to a small table and she began squeexing the lemon into the drink.

Salem really was in the mood for some kind of tea, he didn't care where he got it from but he was craving it. Great, now he sounded like a girl when she was on her period. Gah, he anyway walked into the tea shop that was in Diagon Alley and looked around, it wasn't that packed but there was a few people in there. His eyes landed on a brunette and he couldn't help but smirk. She was hot and he would gladly admit that, he was like a walking sex god and any girl would be lucky to have him.

He ordered a mint tea and had the to go cup in his hand, but instead of going out the door, he walked over to the girl who was currently squeezing a lemon into her tea. "Hello Miss, do you mind if I sit here and join you?"

As the last drop of lemon juice dripped into her tea, Mackenzie noticed a man approaching her. He appeared to be a bit older than she, though not by that much and he had a foolish smirk on his face.
"Hello Miss, do you mind if I sit here and join you?" She didn't mind. It wasn't as though she was waiting for anyone in particular, she just hadn't expected a random stranger to come and ask if he could sit by her and drink tea.

"Of course," She responded. "What kind of tea are you drinking?" Mackenzie asked. From the faint scent that came from the grinning man's cup, she figured that he had ordered mint tea, but making him tell her that was a better conversation starter.

The woman's eyes moved up and down, studying the grinning man. She figured that he thought he could get layed;that's what most men thought anyway. Little did most men know that despite her attractive exterior, Mackenzie had standards and morals and she did not slip into a bed with any grinning sweet talker that came her way.

"The name's Mackenzie, by the way," She informed him. "Mackenzie Faucette."

When she allowed him to take a seat, he took the seat across from her and took a sip of his tea. When she then proceeded to tell ask him what he was drinking, he looked at his cup and then looked back at her. "Mint tea, its the only tea that I drink" he hated all the other teas so when it came to this one and he had tried it, he was glad that the taste wasn't vulgar and one of much deliciousness.

When she introduced herself, he had to admit that the name fitted the beautiful woman sitting in front of him. He could tell just from the way she was sitting that she was going to be a tough one. He was going to try but he knew it would be a challenge whether he took it or not is another story. Although he was going to accept the challenge. "My name is Salem Richards, its nice to meet you Mackenzie" he introduced himself as well.

As she had guessed, the grinning man was drinking mint tea. Mint seemed to be a fitting flavour for this Salem character. Mint was very in-your-face and it wanted to make its presence known. Mackenzie figured that if Salem ever regenerated as an herb, he would be mint. Swirling a metal spoon around in her drink, she raised an eyebrow towards the man.

When Salem introduced himself, Mackenzie pondered the name. When she heard the name Salem, she remembered stories that she used to hear as a child about a town in America called Salem. She recalled hearing that a long time ago, the people of Salem hunted witches and sometimes hung them. The thing about these "witches" was that they were seen many years later to be nothing but human.

Salem seemed similar to this witches in the sense that he probably appeared as something when he was actually something completely different.

"So what brings you here, Salem Richards?" She asked. "What's your story?"

When she asked about what his story was, he shrugged. He didn't want to tell her he was a manwhore or anything like that, that was something that would remain a secret until he was ready to just come out and say it to her. But then again he wasn't going to admit that he was someone who liked to sleep around due to the fact that he just hit it and quit it like no one else's business. But for some reason he knew this girl wouldn't allow him to just hit it and quit it the first five seconds.

Salem took another sip of his tea and looked to her. "Well Mackenzie, I am 31, I am a Muggleborn Wizard and I work as a healer. I like to take care of people who need the help" Salem said to her. Although he only went for the job because of the ladies, not because of his job, although he was great at it but still. "What about you?"

Mackenzie listened to Salem's "story" with no expression of shock or surprise. She hadn't expected an entire rant on this man's life story. He did not seem like the type of man who wanted to give his history away. The one part that did surprise her was the fact that Salem was a healer. She had pegged him as a professor or something like that;a job of minimal effort.
"So you like to save lives?" she asked.

When Salem returned the question about her life story, Mackenzie took a breath. She was not afraid of telling her past.
"I'm a half-blood witch and I have lived in London all of my life. I have a younger sister named Marly who is still at Hogwarts and I come from a very supportive family. As for my job, I am a journalist for the Daily Prophet. I like to find the story within everything. I'm also very good at reading people." She put an extra emphasis on "I'm also very good at reading people," hoping that this would inform the man that she was good at knowing what people were up to.

When he saw her face, he could tell that she didn't think he was who he was. Everyone when they met Salem always thought he was something else other then a healer. He loved the job, it was a great job that paid all his bills and still gave him money left over. "Yes I am a healer and I do love saving lives, its a great job at the end of the day and also pays my bills and puts food on my table" he answered her question with honesty.

He nodded when he heard what she had to say. At the end of her telling her story, he couldn't help but smirk a little bit. This girl was not a dumb one and he knew she was going to be a challenge for him and here it was. "I knew you looked familiar and so was the name. I read the daily prophet here and there but I had the feeling it was who you were but wasn't entirely sure until right now."
