Alberi was starting to miss the library. His summer wasn't as fun as most people expected it to be (though again, his definition of fun usually meant boring to some and the other way around, not that he really cares about what others thought.) His mother was not very happy with the fact that he seemed to be reading even more than he did before, to a point when he would fully ignore those around him and even forget to do his chores. Actually, not forget - he was just too lazy to actually do them. When hardly two weeks of the vacation went by, his mother grew tired of him doing that and forbid him from reading, going as far as to lock up all his books in the basement. However, when he began to lock-pick the door, she decided that, instead, she has to takes the books with her to her job, leaving him with only two books a week. Sadly, he read them all too quick and ended up having nothing else to do but deal with his sister and help around the house.
Though, his sister wasn't half bad as he had thought before. Honestly, he realised that he liked, to a point, helping her with the building blocks and listen to her talk. Something about just how innocent she was to what the world was in reality intrigued him, just how happy she seemed. Perhaps that's why his parents liked her so much... Well, so be it! He was alright with it.
Though he still preferred to read than hang out with her, in the end. It would have been better that he had talked with her on his own free will than forced, after all.
Then again, he probably wouldn't have talked to her in another case. After all, it was hard to take him away from his books.
Speaking of that - now Alberi was, in fact, searching for something to read in the library. Or really, a few things. He was going to try to take as much as he hoped he could carry to his dorms (which couldn't mean much, as he could take around ten in his backpack and carry two, due to his tendency to not be physically active.) From last year here, Alberi already had an idea of what he could find in this school library and where he could find them. Of course, now he was planning to be more active in classes, as his O.W.L. year was nearing and he might learn important things that could help him this year. Or at least, he hoped in that.
Now, Alberi examined the shelves, with three books already in his hand. There wasn't a table around and he didn't want to risk with someone taking them, though he doubted that that could happen. As he looked around, her examined through every shelf. After a while, he noticed on on a slightly higher shelf. Sighing, he raised his hand to take it, glad that he was overall taller from most. He grabbed onto that book and began to pull it out, until he felt that one of his other books were falling. Instinctively, he tried to grab it, forgetting he was still holding on to the other book. After that, a catastrophe happened. A few books began to fall from the push, as did the ones he was holding on to, though he managed to save the bottom one. Sadly, he himself lost balance from the commotion and fell as well, along with the other books.
"For crying out loud..." he muttered, annoyed. From all the things to happen, that was just what he needed.
