Clarinda had been busy the past few weeks, unwillingly neglecting going shopping for necessities due to a sudden outbreak of some sort of curse among the children. She and her team had finally tracked the source of it to cheap, street-corner replicas of fake wands that were supposed to merely turn into chickens; however, due to a faulty spell being used to make it, it backfired and caused the user to spit out feathers for a week. While uncomfortable, it didn't cause much (if any) permanent harm if treated quickly and well.
She'd spoken to Kamren about it, naturally, and within a few days of her finding out the cause, all the fake fake wands had been taken off the streets and the distributers charged.
It was only now that she was finally able to attend to the chores that had piled up on her list. Sure, Kamren had helped out where possible, and Lux had, too, but there was no mistaking that Clarinda found joy in daily tasks like grocery shopping. Stepping into the Magical Menagerie, she glanced around, looking for the owl treats she wanted to buy and noted someone rather familiar. A moment later, the faces clicked, and Clarinda smiled. It was one of the newest hires in St. Mungo's; she'd seen the application a while back.
"Tess, am I right?" she greeted, stepping over. She paused, offered her a hand. "I recognised you; I'm one of the hospital staff you'll be working alongside. I'm Clarinda; it's nice to meet you."
