Likes:
   - Quidditch and flying: The Fletcher family universally consists of Quidditch lovers, including the American, and French branches. Therefore, Gabriel and his sisters grew up loving the wizarding sport.
- Quodpot: During his stays with Lyra and her parents he has come to really like the American sport, though Bea enjoys ruining his fun when watching it by making fun of it the whole time whereas Kat couldn’t care ether way.
- Thunder storms: Something about the smell of rain, and the way the sky lights up during a storm is almost comforting to Gabriel. He has plenty of memories of dancing and playing in the rain with his younger sisters and his mère when he was younger.
- Owls: Owls have a use, to send letters. Plus they’re really beautiful creatures, intelligent too! The only animals worth keeping around in Gabriel’s opinion. He wouldn’t call his owl a companion exactly, because obviously animals can’t really be your “friends”. But he does talk to her, and pet her, and give her treats, and is very protective over her. But… only because she sends his letters and does her job. Right? Of course.
- Cooking: What started out as a necessity has turned into a hobby. Gabe never thought he would enjoy anything like cooking, but turns out he loves it!
- Learning: Gabriel loves learning everything he can about... everything! He especially loves history, the thought of learning about what came before him gives him a clue of what may come after him.

Dislikes:
   - Muggles: Useless beings, they are. It’s not that he hates them, or would treat them horribly or anything, just that they truly are lesser. They can’t do magic, and don’t really serve much of a greater use to the world, and yet they apparently are merging with the wizarding world. He was raised to see them as inferior and can’t see a single reason that’s not true. Muggleborns and Halfblooded he has no problem with, no matter what his father thought however. They were at least magic after all! Who cares if they didn’t have ancestors who were? (This is very much due to his mère’s teachings that she gave him and his sisters)
   - Idiots: They’re even more useless than muggles. At least muggles can talk, work, and act like normal humans. Idiots just cause problems for everyone.
   - Animals: They are smelly and stupid and only create messes. Loud too. The only animals that he’s come across that he thinks are worthwhile creatures are owls. Though, while she is still useless, Lyra’s cat Missy isn’t entirely horrible. At least she’s generally clean, and quite smart really. But that does not mean he likes the little flea bag. He doesn’t quite hate animals, he just doesn’t see any use for them other than food or labor, certainly not for companionship.
- Mornings, especially before anyone’s awake: These times just stretch on endlessly… Like if you wake up before everyone else and the house is just eerily quiet. It’s unsettling and can lead to getting lost in thoughts you really shouldn’t be having. Or memories that you’re better off forgetting. Like early mornings years ago spent stolen away with your mère just the two of you… Or really any memories of those who are no longer here to help you make new ones.
- Talking over the phone: It’s always so strange. You can hear their voice but not see their face, and just… why? Fire-calls are much more useful in the boy’s opinion. Or else just send a text! Talking on the phone is just so… awkward. After you’ve said what you needed to say you just have to fish for something to talk about or figure out a way to end the conversation without seeming like the only reason you called someone was because you needed something, (even though it was.) Calling just to hear the sound of someone’s voice is ridiculous too because why wouldn’t you just talk to them in person in that case? Or, again, fire-call them? 
- Darling: Bea’s cat is an asshole, plain and simple. Gabriel would have drown the fleabag if he’d been able to work up the courage, but couldn’t bring himself to actually kill anything. The stupid pest drives him crazy though and there is a mutual hatred between them.

Strengths:
   - Flying: Obviously. You can’t play quidditch without being at least capable of flying, and if you truly love quidditch you learn to play. So, the two truly just go hand in hand.
   - Ancient Runes: /he was never sure why, but he’s always just… understood Runes. His dad always used to say that he just, “had the Runes gene”, as if it was something he could inherit. But, whatever the reason he’s always been good at Ancient Ruins. He’s even started purposely learning as much as he can about him now that his père’s gone. Makes him feel closer to him for some reason.
   - Determined: Some say bull-headed or stubborn. He says determined. Whatever it is, Gabe has a determination in him that is generally unmatched by anyone around him. If he wants something he’ll do everything in his power to get it unless he changes his mind.
- Bi-lingual: Gabriel grew up in France, so his primary language has always been French, but growing up with English relatives that his family was close with, his Mère taught him both of their languages as well. His english certainly has come in handy now that he’s living with Lyra and her family…

Weaknesses:
   - Unorganized: Can you really blame him? Having a maid who generally kept his room and things clean and organized his whole life resulted in him not really knowing how to keep his shit together. Now that he lives with the American branch of Fletchers and goes to a school that his mother doesn’t work at, his stuff is a mess. But, he hopes to get his shit together eventually.
   - His sisters: They’ve always been his life. Even with two parents Gabriel’s always felt responsible for them. He could relax around his parents, but when it’s just the three of them he’s in charge, and if anything were to happen to them it’s on him. Since their parents have died he’s felt like the man of the household, regardless of who they’re living with. He feels responsible for them, and would do anything in his power to protect them and keep them safe. Merlin help any boy who tries to break either of their hearts.
- His owl: Rosie is a great animal. As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, to himself or anyone else, he loves that bird with all his heart. If anything were to happen to her it would tear him up and he would do anything for her.

Positive traits:
   - Witty: There’s always a sarcastic comment or quick snippet or comeback from Gabriel. He’s a quick thinker and loves to talk, so he always has a response brewing.
   - Passionate: Gabriel puts his all into everything he does. Nothing he does is half-heartedly and when he sets his mind on something he sees it through.
   - Hard-working: Give Gabriel a job and he’ll see to it that he gets it done. He will never back away from a challenge and is one of the most hard working people you’re likely to meet.

Negative traits:
   - Night owl: Gabriel has been known to stay up pretty late into the night, studying, or reading, or just flat out goofing off. This has also been known to be his down-fall, especially when he has to wake up early the next day and is tired the whole day.
- Competitive: Gabriel is competitive almost to the point of being a sore loser. He plays to win, and when he doesn’t throws an internal fit. Not that he storms off or pouts or anything, but it’s pretty easy to see he’s not happy, especially if there was something on the line. Which is another problem entirely because when he competes he has no doubt he’ll win, and therefore has no trouble betting on it. The problem only arises later when he possibly loses.
  - Closed off towards his sisters: With two younger sisters Gabriel learned to control his emotions. If he got upset, they got upset. If he was calm, they were calm. At least when they were little. So even after his parents died he held in a lot of the emotions he felt to protect the girls and so that he could comfort them and be there for them. He didn’t want to be one more reason they would worry. Now he’s just pretty used to bottling everything up and shoving it out of the way when things get rough.
- Self-serving: Gabriel will always look out for number one first. The only exceptions being his family, his owl, and a few choice friends (but they're basically family.)

For as far back as Gabriel can remember he's been an older brother. He was four when the twins were born, and his earliest memory is of him falling in love with them at first sight. Since then he has been the girls' biggest protector (self claimed though his parents would argue that they were) and spent most of his time with them, the only time he would leave him would be on his summer trips to America to visit his cousin and her family.

As all three of them grew he started giving them their space. When they were little where ever they went, he was right there with them, but eventually the kids parties and playroom didn't seem all that fun to Gabriel, so he settled on watching from afar for part of the time. After all, he had his own things to do too! This especially came in when he was eight or nine and the twins were dubbed old enough to join him on his summer trips. He would even go as far as to ditch the girls with his aunt and uncle so his cousin, Lyra, and him could go play by the beach.

When he was nine he'd started showing his first signs of magic. The most evident one being when he super powered his broomstick to go super fast on accident and ended up falling off. It had earned him a gash on his hand, and a broken leg, as well as a life long memory.

Gabriel had been babysitting his siblings while his parents were busy for years, but it wasn't until he was ten, the twins both six, that they were left home alone for the first time with Gabriel officially in charge. It went perfectly other than the spaghetti sauce that spilled everywhere when Gabe tried to make them food. But, a couple cooking lessons with his mère and he could make whatever the twins wanted in no time!

When he was eleven he was accepted into Beauxbatons where his mère worked, and while it was incredibly difficult to be away from the twins, he accepted. The next couple years were amazing, Gabe had never known how much magic there was to learn! Not to mention him and his friends could learn together, rather than his tutoring in previous years where he'd been learning all by himself. No, this was a different experience entirely.

When Gabe was fifteen his life turned upside down. Marielle and Xavier Fletcher died in a tragic "accident". They said that the couple's car caught fire, with them in it for some reason or another that had been too complicated for either Gabriel or his sisters to keep up with. But first off, Gabriel and everyone close to them knew that Xavier Fletcher never would have set foot in a car. And second, the Fletchers would never have a car that just randomly caught fire, they kept good enough care for their vehicles for that to happen, unless it was tampered with.

But that was a different type of feeling entirely, the thought that his parents might have been killed by someone deliberately, and not something he wanted to think about. Rather he focused his attention on what happened after his parent's death. How they had to get through the viewing and funeral, and then were moved across the continent to live with the American Fletchers (even if they didn't live in America anymore) and going to a new school. He focused his attention on not falling apart, but also on being there for his sisters, because he knew they needed him more than anything.

Xavier Fletcher grew up in the same pureblood family as Monroe Fletcher. Brothers in fact. But where Monroe never wanted to accept his heritage, Xavier did. As the youngest of the two, Xavier always wanted out of his brother’s shadow, so when Monroe ran off to America he had finally won. He was in an arranged marriage as well as his brother, and didn’t quite have as much luck as the older man.

Marielle and Xavier never fell in love exactly. They coexisted, were friends, had children as they were supposed to, but if they hadn’t married they would have been friends-with-benefits at best. Still, it was better than nothing, and they had a perfectly nice marriage.

That is, until their death. Marielle and Xavier were in a car crash Valentine’s day of 2026, dying two weeks later from their injuries. They left behind three children, that went to Xavier’s older brother. After all, Xavier had always looked up to his brother, he just wanted some of their parents attention. And now he had it, because he was the first to die and the first to be grieved before either of his parents could go.

Hi Kitty,

Congrats on getting your second character! We have reviewed the profile, and just one point comes to mind.

1. In Gabriel's profile you have mentioned a Russian side of the family that has not been mentioned in Lyra's profile/posts ever. Which also leads Gabriel to know Russian. As there is very little information on this, we would ask that you either remove all notes of the Russian in the profile, or elaborate on this (and explain why Lyra has never mentioned it) in Gabriel's profile.
