A chill ran down the spine of the man who walked through the streets in the early morning. Wrapped in a thick warm coat and a white scarf the man's face was mostly obscured from the biting cold air of the October morning. If there was one thing that Takeo could say he would not get used to it was the cold. His travels and work had taken him all over, yet the almost bitter and often downright depressing weather of Britain was not something he would likely ever accustomed to. It would only get colder from here he had been told, much to his genuine displeasure, as the year drew to a close. Takeo longed to be anywhere else right now. Alas the young man was stuck on this island until his current work was done.
During his time in London his opportunities for work had been quite scarce. Every day he would go about a similar routine, walking the familiar route in the early hours of the morning toward perhaps the most famous of pubs within the wizarding community in Britain. It had not lived up to the 'hype' initially in his mind, however Takeo had to admit it did have a certain charm to it. The tea was warm, which in this weather was a blessing one could not easily pass up on.
He would enter through the door and would take a look around the now familiar interior of the establishment. Unwrapping the scarf from around his neck and draping it over one arm the man would make his way to the counter. There he would go through the similar exchange of pleasantries. 'How are you? How's business? Did you read the news? Aye, nothing good would come of it, tea was it?' The conversation was a practised ritual almost. Despite the almost monotonous exchanges he and the bartender had Takeo still enjoyed it. His profession required a certain..lack of human interaction at times so even the most boring of conversations was good for him. It was good practice if anything, as his own conversational skills were still lacking.
The man sat at one of the empty desks, laying his coat over the back of it as he let the warmth of the building do its thing. Sipping on the tea he had ordered Takeo flipped through today's newspaper. His expression darkened slightly as he continued to flip through the pages. "Nothing good." He murmured quietly to himself before taking another sip of tea. The man's thoughts on current affairs were troubling. His opinion on what was going on in France was strongly in the against party, if such a party were to exist he would certainly find himself a member of it anyway. He had voiced his displeasure a few times over the course of the last few weeks when he had visited. Politics was not generally something Takeo bothered with as politics and magical creatures were not exactly something that crossed paths too often. However Takeo knew all too well what Muggles were capable of even with their own species of creature. If left unchecked poachers and who knows what else would run rampant.
The very thought of it left a bitter taste in Takeo's mouth..it was that or the tea anyway.
