Stephanie was born as the last child to the Richardson family, and grew up with three older siblings. She, from a young age, was doted on by her parents as well as the servants, and on occasion, her older siblings, and as a result grew up extremely spoilt and always having gotten her way. This soon became a way of living for her, so much so that Stephanie felt that the world revolved around her, and thus became self-centered and demanding, driving away Chris.
She is, in a sense, the ‘Princess’ of the family, not wanting to do any work and always demanding things her way; since she was the youngest, she usually got this, too. Stephanie has in her lifetime, rarely heard the words ‘no’, and having been given nannies and tutors and the like, has taken to the Pureblood life completely and utterly. She loves being better than everyone, and when her siblings went off to Hogwarts, she was the only one at home, this leading her to believe she was the favourite, since her parents spent more time with her (this was mainly due to the fact that they didn’t want to pull their children out of school for certain events and instead took Steph).
Serafina also spent more time with Stephanie than she seemed to with her other siblings, although their time was limited by their parents, and Stephanie has grown up hearing two different sides of things - on one hand, she has been fed with what she should do and how she should behave as a female Pureblood. On the other, she has seen and heard her older sister’s side of things. At only twelve, her current stance on it is “whichever brings me what I want”, and therefore, has decided to side with the norms of Pureblood females, although not openly; she still wishes to gain Serafina’s favour, as well as that of her two other siblings.
For the life of her, Stephanie cannot figure out why Chris dislikes her and is, therefore, under the impression that he is simply jealous of her. She adores and looks up to Verena, though, and when she entered Hogwarts and was placed in Slytherin, she was ecstatic to be in the same house as her.
Unfortunately, this also served as a huge reminder that she was the youngest of the family, as Verena is the popular one and has all the friends, whereas Stephanie was overlooked by many of the students, or referred to as ‘Verena’s sister’. Stephanie’s goal, therefore, is to make a name for herself, much like Verena has done.

Spencer and Isabelle got married when they were 19 and 18 respectively, shortly after Isabelle graduated from Hogwarts. Theirs is not a love story, but rather, a business arrangement, and neither saw any issues with this; indeed, Isabelle was rather pleased to have been chosen by a Richardson, knowing she was marrying into good fortune.
Both parties know their respective jobs and duties, and respect that. They have a mutual understanding, and make their marriage work. After many years of trying, Isabelle finally got pregnant when she was 22, and subsequently gave birth to Serafina 9 months later. They proceeded to have another three children after that.
The three younger siblings are closer, leaving Serafina as the outlier most of the time. Most of the time, their parents keep McKendra, Chris, and Steph away from Serafina, not wanting her point of views to be adopted by them, as well; one ‘rebel’ was enough of a problem. Still, when Serafina does have the chance to be with them, they do have their fun.
