Summer Holiday Date (Finley) - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Summer Holiday Date (Finley)   Summer Holiday Date (Finley) - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 22, 2016 5:32 am

See? A phone was useful, after all, she thought mentally, revelling in the fact that her present for him had not been in vain, despite his initial protest. After all, if she was the only one he texted, that was enough in itself to warrant getting him a phone; and, perhaps, that would even be the ideal thing, so she didn't need to worry about other girls flirting with him. It was one thing to be friends with females (this, Maddie did not mind so much) but it was another when they tried anything remotely suspicious. Texting and calling were fine, of course, but Finley was so naive and innocent, would he realise when that turned to more than just a friendly checking up on?

Probably not, she thought, grimly, pushing back the thought for now. She'd work out a plan to ensure this didn't happen at a later date, when she could brainstorm without disturbance.

For now, she simply smiled at his words. "I'll be waiting. They better not say no," she said with a wink and a light laugh, tone indicating teasing - but she was deadly serious. If his parents denied him this trip... well, there would be no telling what she'd do.

"T-ten days?"

Shorter than she would have liked, but then again, he could've said a year and it still wouldn't have been up to her liking; she wanted forever. Madison had never experienced emotions like this before, and to say that she didn't know how to deal with it in a socially acceptable manner was truth like no other; she got her cues from what she observed in others, but other than that, understood none of it.

"That sounds perfect," she told him, smiling widely. "And, if you wish to stay longer - or cut it short - at any time, let me know and we can work that out," she added, unable to help the fact she wanted to spend more alone time with him. But she made sure to keep her tone lighthearted and casual, as though she wasn't needing him to know this - that he could spend as long as he liked with her and she wouldn't mind.

Finley gave a small smile when Madison said that his parents better not say no. That, he could not guarantee, but he would try his best to get them to say yes when they arrived home that evening from work.

The added information on extending or shortening the stay made Finley nod too, only adding a soft "okay." when she had finished to show that he understood. His length of stay would depend on what his parents said, he was sure. But, that was not for now, so instead Finley continued on with his ice cream, as they talked about what was at the place they were staying, what he would need to bring and all the other questions Finley had until they'd finished their ice cream.

After, they took a short walk along the shops, mostly window shopping as they walked hand in hand. Finley didn't go in to the book store, knowing he would be there much too long and he had to catch the train at three.

Their day was spent like most couples, simply enjoying the company of one another, and buying a few school supplies whilst they were there that wouldn't raise suspicion when Finley got back in to the Muggle world.

At quarter to three, Finley bid Madison goodbye with a kiss, promising to text her when he got back, and then later with the answer his parents gave. Then, it was a short walk back to King's Cross, and the train back home - all the way, Finley smiled to himself, his imagination running free with the possibilities of all the cool things they'd be able to do on their holiday.

But mostly, the thought of actually going on holiday, something Finley hadn't done for a while.
