Herbology Lesson 1 (All years)

Herbology was on class Lux did not like. She found the study of plants to be completely useless to her and utterly boring. She preferred classes where she could master useful skills. And the fact that this would be a combined class made it all the more harder to endure. Stupid younger years would be there, annoying little brats that they were. Still, she had to attend the class if she was to boast good grades.

But that didn't mean she couldn't have a bit of fun in class. She found the object she was looking for and walked with light steps to the green house. She nodded at the professor in greeting and casually scanned the students already there, spotting a Hufflepuff girl. What was her name..right, Audrina. Deciding she was in a friendly mood, she walked up to the girl.

"Hi," she said brightly. "Could you take a sip of this coffee and tell me what flavour it is?"

Elleon walked out of the building and into the sunshine, relishing being outside and grateful that not all the classes were conducted inside the building. He loved being out of doors once in a while when the weather was good. A tap on his shoulder make him look towards Jelena and raise an eyebrow to ask her what she wanted.

"You finish that sketch I asked for Emma Watson?" she asked.

Elleon grinned. Ever since coming to Hogwarts, he struggled to find time for his art. Either he was too tired after a whole day of classes or he was studying or running through the pronunciation of words with Jelena. It was rare for him to find time for his art but he'd do anything for his sister. "Here you go," he said, opening his sketchbook and tearing out the page that held his piece of work before handing it to her.

"I love it! Thank you!"

"No prob!"

Arriving at the greenhouse, Elleon led the way inside. "Hi Professor Zanderson!" he greeted cheerfully before finding an empty spot and settling himself down to learn.

Herbology wasn't so bad. It lacked in the need for magic, which was always a bonus for Finley - though, of course, you did sometimes need to use magic, depending on the lesson. His O.W.L results had allowed Finley to continue with the class - the only one he'd dropped was Dueling, truth be told, and then only because he had to due to grading issues.

Heading down to the greenhouses, Finley could make out Madison waiting for him by the door. "M-morning." He greeted his girlfriend just before they slipped in to the greenhouses. Finley moved to a seat in the middle of the class. The years of sitting at the front were gone, now he had Madison. It wasn't cool to sit at the front, and he didn't want Madison to think that he wasn't good enough for her.

After all, she was one of the most popular girls in the school.

After he'd sat down, Finley sent a smile towards the professor, but didn't say anything in way of greeting. Not because he didn't want to say hello, but because he didn't wish to bring attention to himself in the class.

It was rather insulting, really, how aside from Potions, she also had to learn how to handle plants. What was the point of having gardeners and herbology specialists at their estate, then? Sometimes Mina wondered if the Korean Wizarding Academy would have been better for her, but then she remembered how the Korean wizarding world was obsessed with producing inventors.

Sighing, Mina entered the Herbology Greenhouses, disappointed in how Hogwarts was practically teaching her peasant stuff when she had expected the British wizarding world to value more refined things. Like art, history and literature.

She comforted herself with the fact that she was a third year student, which meant that she only had to put up with all these silly class for only five more years. Once she was done with Hogwarts, she would study at university, maybe fall in love with someone who also knew his Shakespeare and Wilde, and then she would be free to do as she pleased. There would be no stupid Potions she had to make within an hour, no plants to be grown with dragon excrement.

A Hufflepuff boy who looked bubbly and cheerful caught her eye. Seeing his enthusiasm for the class, she thought that perhaps having him around would be useful. Though she would rather stay away from such personalities, she took the spot beside him and gave him a small smile before she pretended to read her Herbology book.

Another year back at Hogwarts, and another year of boredom, Jacques was sure. Heading down to the greenhouses from breakfast that morning, the Clement heir ignored the people he passed. Contacts in a world of idiots were not easy to come by, so Jacques friend group at the school was minimal, to say the least, but that did not mean he wasn't known to others.

Slipping through the door of the greenhouse, Jacques moved towards the back of the room. The further away he was from the professor, the less obvious it would be when he didn't pay attention to what she had to say - which meant he could stop listening and she wouldn't be any the wiser.

Hopefully, though, they could work in groups, because Jacques did not wish to get himself dirty for a stupid class. No, that would simply be unacceptable. Someone would have to do the work for him. With that, Jacques took to looking around the class for someone who could easily be bullied in to working with him.

Herbology was only particularly interesting when it was learning about how to use plants for certain potions. She knew that many plants had interesting properties, and learning how those properties changed when mixed with different ingredients was a crucial skill that she rather enjoyed learning. What she hoped was that the lesson was not about 'fun' plants. In other words, plants that had no real use except for the fact that they looked cool. Those sorts of 'fun' classes were the sorts that she didn't like at all. If she took a class it was to gain useful knowledge, not useless common knowledge.

Thankfully, when she walked into the greenhouse, her sister was already there, along with Finley. She strolled over to them and took her seat at her sister's side in the middle of the classroom "Morning," she nodded to Finley and smiled at her sister, taking out her notebook and quill.

Katherine was excited about the turn out that she had gotten. She was highly impressed with how many students wanted to learn Herbology. She could clearly tell that some of these students didn't want to be bothered but just the fact that they actually showed up meant something to her. Katherine gave a soft smile to her students before clearing her throat and starting her class. "Welcome to Herbology, I am Katherine Zanderson, please call me Katherine. If you call me Professor Zanderson then that would make me just sound really ancient and I am not old" she laughed a little bit before clearing her throat once more.

"Alright then, we'll start this class by using a very powerful herb that most of you are probably learning in potions right now. Can anyone tell me anything about the herb Wormwood?" She asked, she didn't know who would speak first, her eyes looked at every student individually before she continued to do it again and again, until someone would finally answer her question.

Another class which would be outside since he had Care for Magical Creatures outside, as he soon made his way to Herbology to study plants since that was apparently what Herbology was all about as the boy made his way to class, with a smirk on his face.

Since he knew this would interesting for him after he heard they would be having the class this time and he soon made his way to his class and entered and saw it had started and he sighed, and then he looked and he knew it would be shorter for him.

Ryder easily did not like classes that did not interest him in the slightest and soon he looked Ryder who looked and wondered what would be learn and soon he listened as the Professor said it was a powerful herb and he wondered what powerful herb it could truly be as he soon wondered.

Since Ryder just looked and listened.

Tristan was pretty excited to hear that they would be having Herbology and how a Professor had decided to claim the class which made him smile. Since he wanted to have knowledge in each of his classes and the boy soon had walked down to the Greenhouses and he entered it/

Then soon he saw he was late and he sighed, since his lateness was getting out of hand and he did not want a Howler from his parents with all his other nonsense he had going on and how he just hoped there would be no full moon anytime soon.

Since then people would know he was a werewolf, since it was the only the knowledge of the healers who healed him and his parents and siblings who were at his bedside and soon the boy went to find a seat and looked to see what the Professor would be showing this class and he just wondered what would be taught.

Cole had never been one who was at all flourishing in Herbology with getting exceed expectations which in his eyes were far from good, he liked having Outstandings and as he wandered out to the Greenhouses and he just hoped he would not muck up his last first lesson of Herbology, due to his horrible ways with plants.

The Hufflepuff saw the greenhouse coming closer as he wandered down to it, and he soon had entered it and he also heard how he would be having it with other years which meant all the years in one and meant that he would have classes with all of his siblings who were in Hogwarts.

Cole soon entered the classroom and he saw he was late, but he was not too late since it seemed that the Professor may have just started talking and he soon looked, and he said.

" I am sorry professor. " he said as he went to take a seat in the back and he soon listened as the professor said that they would be working with a very powerful herb which may have been brought up in their potions class.

He soon listened intently, as she said it was Wormwood, and he tried thinking to whether or not they did learn it, well he had more than likely at one point learn it. He truly did not know as he just waited to hear more.
