| Another year had arrived, and Daniel was hoping for a better year. After all, there was a lot of things that could be improved on from the previous year. The board had been quite clear on that much - as if it had been Daniel's fault that people had chosen to attack his school?
Shaking those negative thoughts away, Daniel took up his seat at the teachers table, and filled up his cup with some pumpkin juice. He was looking forwards to seeing the new students this year, and where they might end up being sorted. Of course, that would mean the arrival of some students.
Looking towards the doors, Daniel waited patiently for the arrival of his students. His speech was ready for when everyone was seated, of course, something inspirational, he hoped. The older kids would need it, after witnessing such horrors in the previous year. |

| Making her way through the door to the Great Hall, Primrose slowly walked towards the Gryffindor table, the limp in her leg being more prominent that day due to the cold that had bitten at her as she had travelled from the train station to the castle. She stumbled slightly but managed to catch herself in time before she sat down at the table with the other fourth years and nodded her head at them before she turned to face the Headmaster.
Last year had been an eye opener for Primrose as she had been forced to witness the carnage that the attack had heaped upon their school. It didn't scare her but it had made her more cautious and willing to learn anything and everything that she could. After the attack happened she had, pretty much, been holed away in the library, trying to keep up with her studies but also doing some self-study.
Sighing, she took a sip of the pumpkin juice that appeared -bless the house elves- and waited for the start of the year speech. |

| Second year. Wow. Theo wasn't really sure where his first year had flown by to! But here he was. And he was excited for it! Of course, there was still loads to explore, and a million and one things to write home to his mum about, and lessons.
His dad had explained that there was a new professor - this was one of the perks of being the Headmaster's son - this year, teaching Herbology. Which was quite exciting! Herbology was a meh subject, though, but Theo would probably try it out just to see what the new professor was like.
Taking the Thestrals - not that Theo could see them - up to the castle, he made a mental note of asking his dad more about the beasts that pulled the carriage up to the castle. Theo was a little upset that he hadn't managed to catch Taela on the train journey up, but he was sure he could make friends with other people. After all, he was pretty easy going! |

| Fourth Year and Elyah could still not believe it. She would be turning 15 this year, and her father already suspected that she was growing into a woman faster than he could have imagined. Elyah had been mature from a very young age, due to the life she was forced to live, and now, her body followed after. Of course, her height was not something that was going to change any time soon. The witch knew that she would remain the shortest person in this school, even if she turned 35.
Despite all that, Elyah was glad to be back. Her summer was the best! She had spent it with Max, her best friend by now, even if he was an annoying little brat, she still loved him to death. That is what she kept telling herself at least, whenever she caught herself thinking about him in a non so friendly manner.
Dressed in her Hufflepuff school uniform, Elyah made her way inside the Great Hall, taking a seat at the usual Hufflepuff table and waiting for the sorting to begin. She remembered her own sorting. She had been so scared. And she didn't have anyone. Her mother didn't care and she had not known about her father. All she could was wonder where he was. If he was alive, anything! And then a year later, he had come to find her. He had looked after her and with not so much persuasion, she was taken from her mother, and now she was living the best life. Her father loved her, and he was constantly trying to make up the lost time to her, even if she was a pain in the ass.
Lost in her thoughts, Elyah waited for the Hall to fill, and for the new year to officially start. |
